Abbie's Diary
I was a bad girl last night.February 3rd 2012 7:25 pm[ View A Comments (9) ] I woke mommy up about 2:30 in the morning and before mommy could get me outside, I squatted and peed in on the carpet. Mommy was very upset with me. It took her a while to clean up the carpet and then she washed the rags she used to clean up my mess. Mommy had to go back to Walmart after work to get more carpet cleaner since the carpet still had a bad smell. Mommy knows it is not an infection since when I have one, I have to go outside all the time and since I am using the bathroom as normal she thinks I was just did it for spite. I have been known to do that.
Abbie, maybe it was just an accident and you couldn't help it huh? I know I was trained at 9 weeks and never have peeped in my house since. If there's any odor left you will probably do it again. Dogs dont know "spite" or any other unpleasent human trait. Its very possible she had tried to wake you... and you didnt know till she couldnt hold any longer. The mess cleans up.. baking soda is a big help.... Don't feel bad Abbie, Missy has done that before too. Though hers was runny number two. Just like Flicka said she tried to wake me up before it happened and I wasn't awake enough to realize it. I thankfully don't have carpet so cleaning up isn't too bad. Bad gurl fur shore!! Mommy haz to beez upset!!! I've done that one before - no fun for the peoples! Maybe you just couldn't hold it any longer, Abbie. If you mom can find Nature's Miracle pet odor remover, that works awesome at getting the smell out. As Flicka said, baking soda also works. Mommy let me outside about 11:00 the night before so I should not have that full of bladder. Well if it is not is "spit" than I don't know what to call it. I sometimes look at mommy do something and than walk off proudly. Maybe you need a trip to the vet? I was leaving puddles all over the floor and it turned out it was from my thyroid being off. Ever since I have been on thyroid medicine I have not piddled in the house again. Mommy is keeping an eye me, but a lot of times I drink too much water at bedtime. If I keep doing it she will take me to the vet. |
