6/22/2011 Aunt Deb update

Aunt Deb had both procedures done , one two weeks ago for the blockage in her coronary artery , every thing went very well.. and yesterday they put stints in the groin of both of her legs.. also went very well... so now that she has no more pain in her legs she will be going to cardiac rehab and walking to combat the effects of the anti-rejection drugs that have caused her cholesterol to go sky high and has caused these blockages .but keeps her new liver happy ... Thank goodness we are back on the road again !!! Geeze Louise ! Thanks everyone !

OH BOY .. you pals are the best .. my belly must have heard your prayers cause iz on the mend once again.. Mom gets so frustrated because she does the same thing everyday and after battling my tummy issues for almost 7 years it makes no rhyme or reason for this to happen to me .. and it seems with each passing year when i get the gastritis attacks they last longer ( up to five days now before i really get over them) . We thank you all for all the love and support and the rosettes , and prayers .. you are the best on Dogster ! We will keep you posted on the tooth problem soon as we get any info !

p.s. Last night when i was walking in my LIMO ( BOL) we ran into my pal Tonka and his pal Nyla.. dem are really big doggies and put their heads right in my limo to check me out .. and mom with no camera .. !! tonight when we go we are taking the camera just in case we run into them again ! Tonka is doing good , but poor baby had a seizure on top of everything else... He has had them in the past .. but AP ( His mommy) said this was the worst one ever ! Prayers for Tonka ..Blind, heart surgery and now seizures ! Good thing he has AP .. she is a wonderful mom ! we hope we can get some pics of Nyla ..she has the most gorgeous golden eyes ever !

6/11/11 WHATS IS THE MATTER WITH ME ???

Iz driving my mommy crazy .. my toofs was bothering me again about 2 weeks ago so Dr. T put me back on another round of antibiotics.. after 5 days my tummy was getting icky so mom stopped the meds and i haven't been myself since... my tail is down , and i just lay from one spot to another .. I have diarrhea when i go to the potty .. iz not da happy girl when i wake up , but i am eating and drinking .. but no barking and tail wagging to wake mom up . I'm not interested in doing steps , or getting on the furniture.. and only sleep on my tummy ( dats how mom knows iz not well, cause when i am well i sleepy on my side or back wif my feet in da air) I walk very slow ( like oh my belly hurts) . so mom is giving me da baby gas x...and cooked me up some chicken and rice ... after a while i will start to act like myself.. but only for a short time than i go right back to da tail is down mode ...Mom called Dr. T last evening to discuss all dis with him and he is away until Tuesday . Iz not in pain .. just really feeling crummy and not myself. I guess we have to wait until Tuesday .. when i saw Dr.T 2 weeks ago , he finks iz gonna have to go back to cardiology and see if they think i can get this nasty toofs pulled... oh mommy and i will are really nervous about it .. but we will let you know what happens .. maybe da toof is just making me miserable .. If you have any prayers left , maybe dat would help too ! Fanks everyone for following my diary !

6/5/2011 Aunty Deb update

We haven't given you an update on Aunty Deb in a while so we thought we would fill you in.. On Friday she had a cardiac cauterization to unblock a blockage in the left coronary artery of her heart ..( 80% blocked) They went through her arm to do the procedure and put in a very long stint ...they couldn't go through the groin because she also has a blockage in her groin which she is having fixed on June 21.The doctor that did this procedure through the arm pioneered the procedure and she said she really felt pretty good . Part of this is due to the anti-rejection medication she takes since her liver transplant ( it tends to make your bad cholesterol increase) and part is her diet and excerise routine which MUST change . Once the blockage in the groin is completed and healed she will go to cardiac rehab .. so that will get her moving ! Geeze Louise it is always something !

I CAN DINE OUT WITH MOM AND DAD ! 5/21/2011

WOOHOO !!!! FINALLY !!!! OUR LEGISLATORS FINALLY PASSED THE DINE OUT WITH FIOD LAW !!! EFFECTIVE JULY1 ...AT ANY OUTDOOR DINNING FACILITY I CAN GO WITH MOM AND DAD FOR DINNER !!! WOOHOO .. SENATOR KELLEY WASN'T FOR THE BILL .. OH AND IS SHE GOING TO GET SOME BAD PRESS.. SHE SAID * PETTING A DOG AND THAN TOUCHING UTENSILS IS NASTY * .. WHAT !!!US PUPS ARE CLEANER THAN A LOT OF FOLKS ! WHAT ABOUT ALL THE FOLKS THAT EAT WITH THEIR BASEBALL CAPS ON BACKWARDS AND THOSE AWFUL BAGGY PANTS THAT ARE FALLING DOWN AROUND THIER KNEES .. HOW ABOUT THAT ! MAYBE THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM DINNING OUT ! READ ON !

Rajas visit May15,2011

OH BOY !!! The famous Raja the Traveler made it to my home in Maryland ! We had a great time !! Raja is so gentle , sweet and quiet .. just like me ! We sniffed the yard plenty , and just enjoyed each others company ! Daddy was our personal chauffeur . We had way to much to show them and such little time but they have promised to come back for a longer visit next time. We took them in to Annapolis via the scenic route. We stopped at the World War II Memorial where you have an awesome view of the Severn River and the Naval Academy, then by my mommies salon , into historical Annapolis where Raja and i had our photos taken with the lovely boats, to the State House , by the Governs Mansion , and Legislative buildings where they are still making our state laws. I was following Rajas lead and didn't get upset or anything , but we did have to stop to get some bottled water ( mommy forgot to take some with us) ... After we got home they humans set on the porch and enjoyed each others company , had a few snacks while dinner was in the oven . The infamous Uncle Smitty joined us for dinner of quiche and salad.. and then can you believe a thunder storm came.... well Raja and i had our storm jackets on .. so we did really well. Once the storm passed we took them to the infamous KAMP to meet Miss Dixie and her crew ! I didn't have to show Raja around .. he acted like he had been there many times before and just made himself at home. It must be the special aura that only dogs can see at their home ! We haven't ever seen a dog go there that was afraid or uncomfortable ! We got home and were pretty tired from all the excitement , Raja gave mommy and Daddy all the kisses and everyone was off to bed. Raja slept in the guest room with his mommy ( of course) and we both woke up with our happy tails on .... !!!! Raja came bearing gifts for everyone , which was just way , way sweet of them .. but the best gift was having them take time to come to see us ! We are planning another visit in the fall and we hope they can stay longer so we can show them around town in a much slower pace ! Right now i am resting on my pillow as mom types this .. and we are feeling a little blue .. we miss you Raja and Aunty Helen ! Aunty Helen will be posting pics of the trip in STAFU group if you would like to see .. Hope to see my pals there !

p.s. we forgot to tell you that Raja also got to meet my pal TONKA ! It was a little scary since Tonka is SO BIG !! Tonka was a guest blogger on Rajas Blog .. so they had to meet ! We got pictures ! woohoo !!! see we really crammed a lot in , in very little time !

RAJA THE WORLD TRAVELER IS COMING ! 5/15/2011

PSST..... guess whos coming to my house today .. Raja the Traveler... wes trying not to get to excited .. i never had a dogster furiend visit before .. he is even spending the night .. i guess i could share one of my five beds ... BOL ..i'm sure he would rather sleep with his mom ! They are calling for nasty weather today but we hope to at least get in a short trip to Annapolis to show them the town and where my mommy works. My hope to take him to see Miss Dixie and to meet Tonka who has been featured in his blog. We will give an update complete with pictures !

My teeth care update 5/14/2011

We got the PETZLIFE ORAL CARE .. mom than took it to DR.T to review to be sure it was safe for me to use.. Dr. T wasn't so charged up about it because it contains grain alcohol and from time to time my liver enzymes do elevate as do my kidney enzymes. So he isn't really charged up about trying it but said mom could if she wanted. Mom respects him and his opinions so we called today to return it and spoke with "LORI" who couldn't have been nicer and she asked why we were returning the product. After mom explained my health conditions she understood Dr.T's concerns. She has been using the product since 2004 and feels like it would be safe but understood and was so nice that she said i will credit your account and please keep the product and pass it on to a healthy pup to use. Lori says the minimal amount that you use is completely safe and far out ways the risk of anesthesia . They do have many veterinarians that are recommending using the product and they are listed on their web site . For now mom got me Paul Mitchell teeth and gum wipes .. and they are minty fresh . I let her wipe all my teeth and gums every night ... i even let her brush that nasty back molar good today .. so i guess every little bit helps.

Tonka update 5/12/11

You remember my pal Tonka.. the blind rescue Great Pyrenees that just had heart surgery to close a whole in his heart. ... well , he had been doing really well with his recovery but lately he isn't eating his breakfast and throwing up , but he is eating is dinner . A short walk tires him easily .. so his mom had him back to the heart doctor .. next week he will pick up a heart monitor to wear so they can see if everything is ok with his heart.. please keep him in your thoughts and prayers ! His mommy is very worried !

Uncle Smitty update 5/11/11

Mom went with Uncle Smitty yesterday to the throat specialist to make sure he didn't have a reoccurring growth on his vocal cords.. and the GOOD NEWS is NO he doesn't .. woohooo !!!!! so he is CANCER FREE at this stage and we are doing a big happy dance over here ! Just wanted to give you an update ... he is doing very well.. even gave mom a break and managed to cut his own grass.. mom was mad .. but she figures the more he does the better off mentally for himself ! WAY TO GO UNCLE SMITTY !
