Arrival Story:
We had lost our two dogs some months earlier (through no fault of our own) and had decided to adopt another one. We got turned down again and again when we spotted Kiki on the St. Nicholas Hope For Animals website. St Nicholas has a unique program in which the dogs stay with their potential owners for ten days. If the owners didn't like their dog, they could ask to have it returned, no fees, no questions asked. We constantly went between yes and no due to Kiki's dominant behavior, however, we eventually fell in love with this little lady, and ultimately ended up adopting her. She now knows she has a loving home to be in forever.

Sometimes I wonder...

Sometimes I wonder why Mommy never lets me out alone.

But today I learned. You see, Mommy had two dogs before me. They were here for ten years. There was work being done on my backyard when sometime the dogs got nabbed by coyotes. They had lived long and full lives here, and I hope the same will be for me (except the coyotes part).

Today's a Complete Adventure

Boyo, I had a busy day today!

First things first, Mommy took me to this strange place to have needles stuck in me. Why? I'm a good dog, but Mommy says its for my own good. Once I thought about it, I sure wouldn't want to get bordatella or rabies...What an unpleasant thought. I squirmed, but Grandma held me down tight.

Then we had to go to this other place, where they shaved off most of my fur. Mommy says I look quite pretty, but I couldn't help resenting her for it.
