Arrival Story:
NIKKI is a female adult Doberman Pinscher approximately 4 to 5 years old. A call was made to the shelter and Veterinarians office about a Doberman found at an automobile junkyard living under one of the cars. Our Veterinarian went to the yard to bring her into the shelter, and there he found her, starving, and under the car, she had just given birth to nine pups. Nikki was brought into the Alleghany Animal Shelter at Twin Oaks in Sparta, NC. Animal Trustees of Alleghany has been fostering Nikki and her pups. Six of her pups and Nikki have been adopted into wonderful homes with responsible pet owners. The pups are now 4 1/2 months old, three are still available for adoption.
