A day in the life....

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree

Well it is that time of year again. My parents are working very hard right now to put up the Christmas tree. While I do enjoy the tree, it also means much more work on my part. See those cats that live here....they want to CLIMB it, sleep in it, sneak around it and other such activities. My parents don't like that and I have made it my mission in life...from the day after Thanksgiving to the day the tree comes down to GUARD it like Alcatraz. I stand in front of it like a loyal solider and wait. And when they dare come near it....I raise all sorts of holy hell whether those small people are sleeping or not. Sometimes this gets me in trouble. I generally chase them in a few circles around the house until they give up and retreat down their cat door (someday I will find a way to cement them down there). So forgive me if I seem a bit tired for the next month....it is hard work being "guardian of the tree"

Sibling conspiracy....

I have not dictated a diary entry to my mom in awhile as there is not too much going on in my world. My brother is non stop bothering me as usual and he gets sent to this place called time out a lot over it. The other little one they call my sister....she is on to me. She watches me and smiles like she is all innocent. The boy used to be like that too....then he started to be mobile. I suspect that the girl will eventually become mobile too. Then I will be in big trouble because I will be out numbered. I like them the best when they are sleeping. The boy sometimes leaves his food within my reach and will also leave it unattended. I enjoy that part of having this person live here.

Vaca!!

My family and I have recently returned from our yearly trip to the beach. Rumor has it I was the best behaved during the L-O-N-G ride down. I generally enjoy sitting in either mom or dad's lap the entire ride but with our fabulous new mini van I was able to walk from the front to the back of the car at my leisure. I did howver spend most of the ride sleeping on a pillow that was on the tray between the front seats. When we arrived at the beach I was quickly put in my place by my grandparents when they arrived as they reminded me who's beach house it was. Apparently not mine. I spent most of the week sleeping (note, hogging the bed that is way smaller then the one I sleep in at home) and every now and then I barked at the neighbors when I was out on the deck. We stayed in our usual hotel on the drive home. My brother accidently let me out the morning we left and I chased a guy up the sidewalk....well....he really did not run but I did let him know what I thought of him walking in front of my room like that. When are all these people going to realize....this is MY world...I just let them all live in it.
