Friday was another typical day for me. Mommy went to fizzy-O-ther-a-pee in the morning. In the afternoon we went to look at another kennel. After the disaster yesterday I wasn't looking forward to this. This time I was pleasantly surprised. The kennel lady seemed very nice. This is just a real small kennel that takes 10 dogs maximum. It is nice and new with indoor and outdoor runs. There was radiant heat with heated floors. They also had air conditioning in the summer. Mommy and I agreed that this was a nice place and I could stay there. It isn't as nice as being with Mommy but as kennels go I could be happy there. The peepoles at the kennel breed pugs. I didn't get to see any of those pugs but I will have to let them know that when I am there I am the boss.

That seems like a pretty nice place, if you've gotta go to one.

Sounds ok. Do they have crafts and activities for you? Regular snack times? Sumone to snuggle with?

No crafts but they take us for walks and give us treats.

Sounds ok Jelly ... just make sure if you do go there that you let those pug blokes know who is boss. I have a good friend who is a pug. They make great playmates. They are real nice. Funny but nice funny. I hate those kennel places but when you have to go you just have to go so I reckon we just have to make the most of it. As long as your Mommy is sure it is ok and it sounds as if she has. Great that she took you to check it out too. My Mum has a big anniversary day tomorrow. It is one whole year since she fell in the shower and broke her leg (right up near her knee). She had a real rough trot just like your Mum. Harri was still with her then .... not me .... but I heard all about it. Anyway she had all that fizzy stuff done too and hydrotherapy as well which she said was real good and she just wants to let your Mommy know that it does get better. She is getting around really good again now. It did take the whole 12 months but she is feeling almost back to normal. Can't bend the knee quite as well as she used to be able to but other than that ... all is well. Oh my Mum's 70 (shhhhhh!!!!) ... don't tell anyone .... she's a bit sensitive about her age ... but she wanted your Mommy to know that age is no barrier to getting better. Mind you as far as my Mum knows your Mommy could be really young. Anyway I just hope that your Mommy's foot gets better real soon.

No crafts, no gym, no gift shop. We dine in our our kennel run, go for regular walks each day, indoor/outdoor run, treats, tub/shower if we get too dirty.... Only 10 pups can stay there and they refuse to take pups that freak out and cause lots of stress to the others. So, it is quite calm.

Charlie, all the fizzy-o people are telling Mommy it will take a full year to get over her broken foot so your Mum's experience sounds pretty normal. Mommy is at the 5 month mark now so there is lots of time to go. She gets around pretty good and I think I should do a diary update on it. Mommy is now getting worried about the snow and ice that is coming.

Snow and ice ....Crikey! I would like to see that. All we see is sun, sun, sun, rain, rain, rain. No exciting stuff like snow and ice. My Mum is worried for your Mommy though. She said to take extra care. My Mum used to worry about falling over and hurting herself again when she was getting better but she just took EXTRA care and she got through ok. She doesn't worry so much anymore but she is probably a wee bit more careful than she was before the accident.
