Arrival Story:
When I was a puppy I came on a long ride on an air plane from a Labradoodle breeder in Seaspray, Victoria Aulstralia. I was supposed to leave the breeder at 11 weeks, but I got puncture wounded at around 10 weeks by an older dog. This was bad, but it was also good as it allowed me to come inside and stay with humans for 2 weeks before I came home. When I came to a rest stop in California, it was so cold in Boston that I had to wait a couple days extra. When I finally arrived at my new owners home I caused all sorts of mischief until I was fully trained. Later on I got my full name Nala Victoria McGrath, Victoria coming from Victoria, Aulstralia, where I was born.

Bio:
I enjoy agility, flyball, rally-O, and therapy dog work. I have my Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog International. I can usually be found sleeping, but when another dog comes over or if someone starts to play with me, I can get very playful! Hmmm, well... my favorite position to be in is on my back so I can sleep and look so cute at the same time. This often gets my humans to react by coming over and petting me. :D

Forums Motto:

Doggy Sports:
I have recently started to compete in agility, though I am not that great or experienced yet. I am still learning Flyball and Rally-O but I am hoping to compete soon! I will keep any updates on trials or other doggie sport related updates here!

3 Baths!!!

Yesterday I went to day care and got VERY dirty. It was raining hard and I rolled in puddles and jumped through mud. When I got home my owners wouldn't get near me for long. They said I was dirty and beginning to turn black. I really don't get how I could turn a different color. My owners even covered my bed with a towel and made me sleep on it! The towel shifts too much, making it impossible for me to get a decent night of sleep. In the morning my owners did not invite me up on the couch and when I went to get up as part of my normal morning routine, they told me to stop. I slunk back to my bed and rested there for a while. Sheesh! Can't someone tell me why everyone is avoiding me?

Earlier today I had to go to the groomer. I like my groomer and I whine when I see her and sometimes jump on her or bounce on two paws. I usually enjoy visiting her for baths, but today she too thought something was wrong with me. Whatever was going on must have been pretty bad since she insisted on bathing me three times- in a row!!! Even after three baths, she still wasn't satisfied and almost gave me another before one of my owners came in the door. My groomer said something about dirt tangled in my hair and how she could of given me two more baths. Two more! That makes five that she would have given me if I was there longer!!! Lucky for me, my owner took me home where I had dinner and slept the rest of the night. Hey, three traumatizing baths calls for a couple hours of extra rest! I hope my groomer never gives me that many baths again.

My First Rally-O Class Ended

Today my first class in Rally-O ended! The only tricky part is the finish. I always end up sitting sideways or being too far back, and even to do that I need a treat. Other than that I did awesome. :)

There was a Schnauzer (I hope I spelled that right, send me a mail if its wrong) in my class that kept getting in my face and it looked quite scary with its pointy features. The other dog was an Aulstralian Shepard that was very energetic, they kept whining. When the owner of the Aulstralian Shepard clipped her to a hook, she started choking and pulling forward to the point where the owner had to go and unclip her before finishing the walk through. There was a tasty hot dog right in front of me! Not a full one, but a little piece. I kept trying to get it, but my owner kept tellling me 'Leave It!' and I did... for a while anyways. When we were on our way back from our second run, I managed to snag it before my owner saw me chewing. I figure I must of done something good because a slow but sure click rang out, either that or it was an accident, I didn't get a treat after all.

I guess I have one more class before I get to competition level! After that there are more classes still but I also can compete more easily. I hope I go to that soon. Oh, I forgot to mention that there was another Labradoodle! Not just any Labradoodle, they were the same color as me and they had wavy hair as well. In fact, its the only other Labradoodle I have seen since I left home in Aulstralia. The other doodle is just a puppy, but I hope I can see him in the next class. I guess thats it for now.

Lazy Day

Today I spent most of my time sleeping on my bed. Ever since the cold weather came I have been using my bed instead of the floor. Every so often my owner would come over and pet me. Sitting on a bed all day may sound very boring, and sometimes it is, but sleeping is what I like to do. Sleeping and resting.

Usually I would try to play, but for the past couple days I haven't been in a very playfull mood since I threw up and felt sick. My owners have been putting some new weird tasting stuff in my water that they say is supposed to clean my breath but it makes water taste horrible, not to mention that it makes me sick. Bleh!
