Well, we've been in our new house for about a month now and it really feels like home even though some boxes are waiting to be unpacked. It doesn't help that mama went online w/ Overstock and bought 5 bookcases, a linen tower, and an electric fireplace so we got all those boxes, too. It takes her about an hour to do a book case from start to finish, but the tower looks like it's going to take quite awhile. It has a cast of thousands! heeheehee

I have met and charmed some of the neighbors, but the lady next door doesn't particularly like dogs even though she has her son's dog living with her. To me that is an unbelievable situation, but what's a corgi to do? She doesn't like trees either, because they shed leaves. Mama loves leaves because they make great mulch to enrich the soil and protect plantings over the winter. Sigh. Our biggest trees are all sick and mama may have to cut them down. Maybe she'll get an grill and use the cut wood as fuel. Some of the neighbors think I'm adorable, especially the elderly couple across the street! Mama says she'll take me over from time to time so I can visit.

Anyway, our house is very cute, with almost enough windows. At least all but one window is big and we can get away w/o turning on lights during the day! The front room is ideal for the ferrets and mama has a table in there where she does jigsaw puzzles and uses the computer.

My favorite room is the kitchen, of course, because that's where all the good stuff comes from . . . but the basement is pretty cool because I can snitch the ferrets' food sometimes and eat their poopies through the cage bars.

There is a doggie day care a 10 minute walk away. I went one day. I played for a little while but then I mostly slept on a couch. When we went to a Halloween party there I stuck close to mama. I wouldn't play w/ any of the other dogs and looked "worried" according to mama. Mama couldn't find any of my costumes so she went and bought another one for me . . . so I went as a hot dog and won first prize! Mama said not to get too swelled of a head. There were only 2 or 3 other costumes. Mama will put the picture up on my page when she gets it scanned in.

Life is good!
