Likes:
To Sniff, sniff, sniff, and sniff some more! And to sleep, see new places and people, lay in the sun and take trips in the car. She also loves to sit in your lap, put her paws on your shoulders, and give you a big 'beagle hug' whenever possible.

Pet-Peeves:
Kitty claws, storm drains, wet weather and being woken up before she's ready.

Favorite Toy:
Soft squeaky things, her doggie playmates, anything new that we just bought her.

Favorite Food:
Zucchini, cheese, dirt, Greenies.

Favorite Walk:
Places that smell.. which would be uh.. anywhere. Though she really, really loves long walks in the woods. Rabbits, rabbits!

Best Tricks:
Find the toy or person, roll over, shake, high-five, 'Working the Cute' at drive-thrus in hopes of free chicken.

Arrival Story:
We had been looking for a dog for years and though we had fostered a few, we still hadn't found the right match for us. One day, when we were feeling really down and stressed, we decided to go hang out with the dogs at the local animal shelter. Though we weren't planning on adopting a dog that day, half way down the aisle on the left.. there she was. Somehow we knew she was perfect. She was a serious country and hunting dog and had never even seen a food bowl or a car before (she was lost in the woods and brought into the pound by the sheriff when she jumped in his car), but she's become quite the spoiled funny girl now and loves to walk on the sidewalk.

Bio:
It's amazing the strides she has made since we brought her home. She's so well-behaved and happy now. We've worked with her through separation anxiety, food aggression and general skittish behavior. Now, she can sit, stay, come, roll over, shake hands, play dead, play "find the scent/toy/person," and catch objects in mid-air. She's such a well-rounded and spoiled girl now, you'd never know she came from such humble beginnings. In fact, she's quite the diva.
