Arrival Story:
I got Kody from a breeder when he was 8 weeks old. I went looking for a black and tan and ended up with a wheaten colored dachshund. He found me. While I was holding a little 3 week old black and tan puppy, he started whining for me to come and look at him. When I finally went to look at him, I picked him up and he crawled right up my chest and put his head on my neck. He calmed down immediately. I held him for a long time and we both knew then that he was the puppy for me.
Bio:
Kody loves to give kissies. He likes to sit in the sun, play with his toys and fetch his ball. He is a snuggle bug. He loves to cuddle up under a bunch of blankets. Kody also likes to be held like a baby, especially after his bath. When he is in the bed he will sleep for a long time and sometimes he gets mad when it's time to get up. When he gets up in the morning he runs to find the sunny spot in the den so he can lay down and feel the warm sun.
Kody has many allergies which he has to have shots for. He doesn't get to go outside because he is allergic to grass and trees. He loves his life anyway. He has a lot of fun with his "sister", my 12 year old daughter. They play and fight just like brother and sister. He is a very special part of our family!

Happy Woofday to me, Happy Woofday to me, Happy Woofday to meee, Happy Woofday to ME!
Today is my birthday! Can you tell? I am 5 years old today! How exciting!! I had a wonderful birthday breakfast that my Grandma made me. Yummy scrambled eggs and biscuits! I just got to open my presents too. I got a new bobo and a big long squeaky snake and a new tire to chew on. I also received a card from my girlfriend Gretchen and she gave me a STAR! I'm very happy today! My birthday has been very good! Thanks to all of those who think of me on my special day!

Well, she's been here for 2 weeks now! Yeah, you all know who I'm talking about.....Kassi, the new pup. She is a handful, to say the least. At first, I wouldn't have anything to do with her, now I tolerate her. Mama says I'm doing a good job considering this was my space for 5 years. Well, I thought the least I could do was smell her out, you know, find out where she came from and all that good stuff. I know that she could stop that whiney junk at night time, I do need some sleep! Anyway, that's about all that's going on in my part of the world, how about yours?

Hey everypup....my little sis has arrived! I'm not so sure about her yet though. So far I have growled at her and then run away from her. I smelled her a little bit this morning, but I'm not so sure about that puppy breath!
My girlfriend Gretchen, who has much experience in this "sibling stuff ", has assured me that we will get along with each other. It will just take a little time. Boy, I sure hope she's right!
I'll keep you updated on our progress!
