I got tagged again today by Riley who is my bud Logan's sister. She is a cutie and since she is Logan's sis, I can't say no to her. So here goes: This is a fun game to get better acquainted with your Dogster friends. Here’s how we play: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are Tagged need to post in their Diary the rules and their 7 random facts. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Then let them know by pmail or a rosette that they have been Tagged and to read your Diary for instructions on how to play.
Here are 7 more truly amazing facts:
1) Once a really dumb woman at the dog park called me a 'stupid little dog' so I peed on her. Mom was mortified.
2) The last time the cable guy was at our house, I peed on his tools.
3) My cousin Humphrey ran for (Dog) Mayor of his town but he lost in an election that reeked of all kinds of voter violations. I tried to launch an investigation on his behalf but he made me drop it; he just congratulated the winner and returned to hanging out at the liquor store.
4) I like to go to Lowe's and ride around in the shopping cart.
5) Our mail carrier is afraid of me. I can see it in his eyes.
6) I really don't like that wood floor Mom & Dad put down when they ripped up the living room carpet. I will get even with them one day.
7) I think Frosty Paws totally rock!
Here are the 7 pups I am tagging:
1) Champ - he is a buddy of Griffin's and was one of the first Dogsters to welcome us
2) Beau - because he is the King of Pith
3) Rosalita Lola - because she is the sweetest pup I know
4) Roxie - because she is a little devil just like me!
5) Kip - just because
6) Paris - because he is a good friend to Griffin
7) Rylee - cos I'm kinda curious about what's in his head!

I got tagged by somepup I've never met before, Shakespeare. I checked out his page and he seems like a pretty cool pup so I'll play along. Here are the rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!
So here are 7 fun facts about the Charley Dog...
1. When I was a pup and Mom worked late, she'd come home and get me and take me back to the office so I wouldn't get lonesome.
2. I love to escape the backyard.
3. I took Beginning and Sub Novice Obedience classes at Canine Training Unlimited but you'd never know it!
4. I am a heathen and proud of it!
5. My favorite place to sleep is in Dad's lap.
6. I once broke into my neighbor's house through the pet door and stole Max & Snowball's food! I got busted when their mom came home.
7. I am vehemently opposed to anything related to grooming. Baths, nail trims, getting brushed - I want no parts of those things!
Now I tag the next 7 pups!

Wow, it's hard to believe that today is January 13th. It was like 70 degrees here today - in Virginia! It was so nice that Mom and her friend finally got the darned Christmas lights down off the house. (They had been up much too long and even though they didn't turn them on, Mom thought they looked tacky. Kind of like the houses that Mom jokes on and asks, "What are going to do, turn them on for Easter?") Mom's friend brought two of her dogs, Harley and Bella, over so we had someone other than ourselves to chase! We had fun in the backyard and then they decided we should all go to the dog park. Dog Park? Where's my leash? I am all about the dog park! Hurry up! Let's go!
It seemed like everyone in town had the same idea because the place was packed but that's OK, that means more butts to sniff! And before you say, 'eeeewwwww, gross!' let me remind you that butt sniffin' is perfectly acceptable behavior in the canine community. Besides, we don't have opposable thumbs so we can't shake hands. Butt sniffin' is more fun anyway. You humans should try it. We had a great time! Chasing dogs, chasing balls, chasing frisbees, chasing anything we felt like chasing! And the best part: it was muddy, too! I got all dirty- it was great! I even chased a Great Dane although it would have been better if he had chased me. Even old Hank had a a good time despite having to ride in the car. He didn't get sick on the way there or on the way home; maybe he's gonna get over this fear of riding in the car after all. I sure hope so; I think riding in the car is totally cool!
We must have stayed in the park for over 2 hours. I was getting kind of tired but I wasn't about to be the first one to wuss out. It finally started to get dark so we all headed home. I was thinking about what a great time we had and was chilling out on the floor when all of a sudden Mom grabs me up and carries me in to the bathroom! YIKES!!!! I let her sneak up on me! Now she's gonna give me a bath! But wait! What about all this cool mud I worked so hard on? It look a lot of time and work to get it on all the right spots. And now she's gonna make me get a bath? Mom! You are such a PARTY POOPER!
I got her back though. After we got done, I went and dried off on her and dad's bed.
That'll teach her.

OK, Mom wants a picture of me and Hank with Santa. No problem, I've done that before although the picture didn't turn out so good. Santa has his eyes closed and mine were red - made me look like a demon! (Dad said that was my true personalilty coming out, BAH!) So, we hop in the car and make the quick trip to PetSmart. I love that store. I love any store that lets me in!
Hank on the other hand, isn't excited. He hates to ride in the car and drools all over the place. Sometimes he does worse than that but Mom didn't let us eat anything before we left so he didn't get sick in the car. He's OK in the store and is very friendly to all the other dogs there but it turns out he is afraid of Santa! Poor guy won't even go near him. I tried to explain that Santa was a cool guy but Hank wasn't buying any of it. Mom finally coaxed him a little closer so we could at least get our picture taken but it looks a little funny. I suppose we should be glad he didn't barf on him.
Since things weren't going as planned, I decided to do something that would make our trip a little more memorable. Something to make Hank laugh. Something to make Mom mortified. I peed on Santa! Yep, I peed 0n him. And everyone saw me do it, too! Fortunately, Santa has a sense of humor and laughed about it. Mom however, wasn't laughing. Neither was Hank. Mom said something about me getting nothing but a lump of coal in my stocking. Hank is worried that he'll be guilty by association.
I don't know what the big deal is. I was just trying to lighten things up!

Mom took me to City Park on Sunday. Not just the dog park, but the WHOLE park was open just for dogs! How cool is that? We met my friend Bella there and hung out for a while. There were all kinds of vendors and things for us dog to do. Plus they had a Dock Dogs competition. That was way cool! One pup jumped 23 feet into the water! I have no idea how far that is but I'm sure there is no way I could have done it.
Mom was disappointed with me because I was so ugly towards some of the other dogs. I don't know why I did it, but I growled and snapped at some of them. Well, one dog DID get in my face and I didn't like that one bit so I snapped at him. Mom was trying to keep me away from the larger crowds but sometimes it was unavoidable. I wanted her to pick me up and carry me around (I am the Little Prince after all) but when she got tired, she put me back on the ground and made me walk! I liked getting carried around because people came up to me and scratched my head. I like that. In fact, I liked one lady so much that I gave her Charley-kisses on her nose! I bet she liked that, too!

Wow! Who'da thunk it! Mom was checking her e-mail before she left for work this morning and discovers that I'm Dog of the Day!
We sure didn't see that coming! After all, there are so many great pups here on Dogster and I just joined a couple of months ago. I figured it would be a while before anyone from my pack was considered. Mom was so excited. I didn't understand her at first but then I checked my paw-mail and thought, "Hey, this is pretty cool!" I got a bunch of rosettes from some pups I know and even some from pups I didn't know (before today anyway). Some of them even took the time to send pup pal requests to Hank and Griffin, too! I'm glad because they get to share in the excitement, too!
Mom & Dad celebrated with me & Hank tonight. We got to nibble on some of the steak they had for dinner and we never get to eat from the table! Then we had Frosty Paws, or at least me & Hank did. I don't think Mom & Dad would like Frosty Paws.
Not a bad day at all. Even if it was a rainy Monday.
Gotta run. I need to rest up so I can respond to all the mail I got today.
Thank you, Dogster. You ROCK!

OK, first off Daddy goes to work on a Friday and he never does that. I heard him say something about overtime. I don't know what this is but I'm not sure I like it because it cuts in on the time he spends with ME! Doesn't he know that's why he's around? To look after MY needs?
Then Mommy comes home. A bit early and that's a good thing but then she starts packing stuff into her backpack and gets the sleeping bag out. Where does she think she is going? And why on earth does she need a sleeping bag? She does feed me and Hank and takes us outside to play but we don't feel like playing outside. We have to keep an eye on what SHE is doing. I know she's up to something. She packs up her stuff and puts it in the car. Then she tells US to be good and that she'll see us tomorrow! WHAT? What about tonight? You'd best remember who's in charge here lady!
Daddy finally comes home from work and he goes to bed. Mommy is still not home and he doesn't seem to be worried. I swear, do I have to do everything around here? Where is Mommy? I can't go to sleep until she gets home!
She FINALLY shows up about 9:30 the next morning. Just in time to take Hank to Obedience. (Ha ha! I think Hank thought he was skipping a class yesterday! Boy was he wrong.) Then she comes home and goes to bed. What is wrong with her? Why does she need to sleep now? It's time to focus on ME! We let her sleep until the doorbell rang. Then I barked and barked and barked so much that she HAD to get up. She didn't look too good though. Daddy said she had dark circles under her eyes and took her out to dinner. I heard them say something about raising money to fight cancer at something called 'Relay for Life'. Why didn't she take me? I don't know what cancer is but I know it's what killed Griffin so I'm ready to fight it, too! Hank would have fought, too if I had told him to. (He does everything I tell him to do)
I miss my brother Griffin so I am glad Mommy was helping to fight cancer. It's bad stuff. I just wish she had let me help fight it, too. She never lets me have any fun.

There are some pinheads that live in my neighborhood. They've been lighting firecrackers and setting off fireworks all weekend! What's up with that? Don't they know that Memorial Day is supposed to be a time of reflection and time to give thanks to all those brave soldiers who didn't get to come home and play with their dogs? Geez! Fireworks are for the 4th of July which means we'll have to do this all over again. I don't like fireworks one bit (and neither does Hank). If I see anyone with fireworks while we're on our walk, I swear I'm gonna pee on them! I'll do it, too!
I hope everyone had a pleasant holiday and remembered to give thanks to all those brave soldiers (and military dogs, too) who paid the ultimate price to keep us all free and safe. And if you or your humans are in the military, I raise my paw and salute you. Thanks for serving our country!
