things seem to be changing

It's been getting a little tough to walk lately. Yesterday I was running in the yard chasing squirrels and today my hips seem to be so stiff. Mommy was petting me and feeling around and for some reason she started crying a lot. Something about another "mass". Not sure what that means, but I dont like it if it makes her this sad. The good thing is I have been getting so much yummy meat(you know I love FOOD) and lotsa treats. I've been much more snuggly with mommy and daddy too, which they seem to like. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back to chasing squirrels(or maybe even Bammers!)

I'm not sure whats going on...

Things have been really weird around here lately. Mommy and daddy have been talking about me a lot and they look so sad. My big,sweet head usually makes them smile. I keep hearing things like "sick" and "dying" and all the same words that mommy and daddy said before Pebbles left us. I'm not sure what they're talking about but I feel fine. I may be a little thirstier than usual, but I think that's because of all my squirrel chasing. My booty seems to be growing, but so does mommies, so that shouldn't make them sad either. I've had a great few weeks, I even got to spend a few days by myself at gram and grandpas and boy did they spoil me:-) Those kitties of theirs look so fun to play with but they won't come near me. Gramma gave me some tasty treats and even though I havent been too hungry lately, they actaully were yummy! I'm hoping mommy and daddy get over their weird funk soon, I don't like to see them sad...

...when is Pebbs' coming back? I really need somepup to help get this puppy in line, and who better and more gentle than my big sis? Bammers does nothing but annoy me and I don't know what to do anymore, I just want Pebbs back. Mommy says that I am just depressed, and she's hoping with the warm weather I will get my spirit back. All I want to do is sleep. Daddy thinks I have aged really fast since Pebbies has been gone, and I have to admit I do feel older. Pebbles was my best friend, my squirrel chasing buddy, and I looked up to her. Now who do I look up to? I feel kind of lost. I do still enjoy chasing those little rats with tails(aka squirrels), but I just wish Pebbs was here alongside me like always. We grew up together, I never knew a life without her, and I have to say, so far I hate it. Mommy's hoping that after grandma recovers from her surgery, that she can take me for a little vacation-by MYSELF!!!!! Oh what a woofderful idea. I can picture it now, sunning myself, chasing squirrels and all sorts of little critters all day with grandpa, then ending the day with a homemade meal from grandma. That must be what heaven is like. Maybe that is all I need, a little break from the fuzzball. Well, since it's not dinnertime, I might as well go back to sleep...

I smell steak!!!

Mommy was outside with us tonight and she had something cooking on the grill. Me, Pebbs, and Sadie were running around and mommy kept opening the lid on the grill and all of these sweet smells kept pouring out. Eventually she gave us each a hot dog, but that is NOT what I smelled. I know steak smell better than any in the world-this is an A class sniffer I got smack dab in the middle of this big head. Mommy tried to throw us off with rubbing our bellies and throwing the ball for Pebbs and Sadie(I will not sink down to chasing a ball), and then giving us those mouth watering hot doggies, but I was on to her. So when we went inside to eat, I pushed my face up against the gate-that always makes mommy laugh-and guess what? She snuck me a peice of that yummy meat!!! I have her wrapped around my little toe!!!

Mommy finally got videos of all of us with our new video camera but still has not figured out how to download it to this computer. her and daddy have been saying some funny words like @#^! when trying to figure it out, but they still haven't quite gotten it. So mommy gave up until daddy can work on it and just did some shorts with her digital camera instead. I do think I look quite cute but it has no sound!!! What's with that? I'd love for everypup to hear my hound dog bark and howling!! I know it's not a girlie kind of voice but it does scare some of those annoying mailmen away!! so hopefully daddy will get to it soon, and me and sisters can share our voices with the world along with our beautiful faces!!

@%**! Squirrels

Mommy was outside with me and sisters yesterday and that's when THEY came out. I swear that they wait for me to come out that door. They come down from the trees like crazy monkeys and flick their tails and make these horrible noises. Then they start to run back and forth from tree to tree flying through the air-and it turns me into a crazed lunatic. I start to run back and forth just like them and bounce off of the fence higher and higher until I flip completely upside down. Mommy gets scared when I do that cause she thinks I'll "break a hip". I can't control myself, it's like I'm possessed byt their evil little chanting. Hmmm, maybe they ARE using that chanting to throw me into a psychotic state. I bet that's their plan. To use mind control on all of the great pups of the world. I better go tell Pebbles, before they get her too.

Bandana

Mommy put another new bandana on me today. She seems to think I need it because I have a slight drooling problem. Well she thinks it's a major problem, but I think it just makes me adorable. Now this bandana-that makes me look just silly. I look like a cowgirl or something. Which is okay if you're into that kind of thing-but I'm a city girl. I'm from Cleveland for gosh sakes. Where does mommy get these crazy ideas? I'll just have to find a way to make Sadie or pebbles chew it off of me. Yeah, that's the ticket...

Something smells funny...

Mommy came home from work again today with a distinct odor. I know she's been sneaking around with someone else's pooch. It smells like our weirdo cousin Zoe. She's a Bernese Mountain Dog and every time I see her she gets bigger. I don't know why mommy wants to see her though, she's so big and goofy and clumsy(even more so than I am!!). I'll have to admit she is a little(I stress the word little) cute sometimes. But why ever would mommy leave us to go play with her? Woe is me... Oh here comes mommy with some scooby snacks, yum. Now what was I saying? Oh well, couldn't have been too important:-)
