 Quick Bio:
Likes: hanging out in the yard with Mom and Dad, licking ears, cousin Carly, making sure sister Cricket (cat) doesn't get excess attention, her bed AND her pillow (spoiled girl!), bandanas and keeping those dreaded squirrels away from her house

Pet-Peeves: her pesty baby sister, vacuum cleaner, thunder, having her picture taken

Favorite Toy: Her peanut butter bone. But then Violet steals it.

Favorite Food: Anything that Mom and Dad eat or that's in her blue food bowl. She drools when we bring out the peanut butter jar or the Greenie bag, but is not terribly fond of lettuce...

Favorite Walk: anywhere and everywhere. She loves dog parks where she makes new friends. She likes to dog-watch at Lake Baldwin, but the best park was at Ft DeSoto Beach in St Pete.

Best Tricks: Her best trick is when she picks a hand that the treat is in. She always picks the wrong one first! She can also respond to "Bang!," although her tail still wags even though she's "dead." She knows sit, stay, come, crawl, high-five and Go Gators!

Arrival Story: We adopted her from the Orlando SPCA in June 2001. She was wonderful at the pound; she was in a cage with two very large dogs who had pogo sticks I think. Jersey just sat there wagging her tail. We took her in the visiting pen, and she quietly tried to climb in my lap. Her surrender form said that she lived on a concrete pad in someone's backyard and they didn't know if she was housebroken. She was about 10 months old and didn't know her name. While she now knows her name, she also seems to thinks she's either a 50-pound lapdog or a really funny-looking cat.

Bio: Jersey is very smart and so responsive to anything we tell her. I think she took night classes to learn English. She is recovering from the arrival of Baby Sister Violet a few months ago. By the way, we really have no clue concerning Jersey's lineage/breeding. I ask her what her Mama looked like but she just smiles. Any thoughts after seeing her pictures?
