We've been singing up here a birthday greeting song for you- I hope you liked it. We made sure you could hear us in your heart. Me and Bodie sent you a special gift at the dog park. Your friend Daisy. I know it wasn't as perfect as Bodie being there but he is doing okay up here at the bridge. He misses everyone just like me. I've been up here longer so I've made so many friends. I'm part of the welcoming committee. I guess I got the job because I'm friendly and bossy. I don't know how they got that idea. HA. Tell mommy I didn't miss her special day- she knows it was my special day as well. It's something we share- her special day is her birthday to you youngin. I hope you like Willow. Me and Bodie picked her also. She's very pretty and small- we will try and help mommy keep her that way. I'm happy to have brotha up here with me, it was very lonely and I know mommy was worrying about his allergies and all that coughing those stupid Vet couldn't help get rid of. Give everyone a giant kiss for me... okay. Remember we've always with you, mommy, granny and Willow and will try to protect you always from above! Sending you husky kisses and hugs. I can't believe it's already been two gotcha birthday's at the bridge. There's not a day that goes by that we don't think about you and all the crazy funny things that you did. Mommy wishes you a very happy birthday and wants you to know that you will furever be apart of my heart.

I hope you are behaving yourself- I don't want mommy thinking I sent her some trouble. I've been trying to keep a close eye on you when I get a chance here at da bridge. I know mommy is always thinking and comparing you to me. Don't worry- she just misses me so much. I was very special to her and granny... now it's you and Bodie's turn to become special to mommy in your own way. Tell mommy I gave her lots of kisses during the night for her birthday! Your First Anniversary at the Bridge!

I can't believe it has been a year already! It seems like yesterday when you made that famous trip to the bridge! Not a day goes by that we don't think and smile about all the many crazy things you used to do.

I know you are furever watching over us and protecting us. I also know that you had a hand in selecting Sinatra for us. He is perfect and quite the handful- especially for Bodie! He seems to keep us all entertained enough that we are exhausted at the end of the day! Which is a good thing because Bodie has started to gain weight. Yup- we used to put you on the diet and now- it's Bodie that has to be on a diet. So the treats are cut short and he gets his walks everyday. Of course he thinks we are being mean- so if you could whisper to him that we love him so much- that's why we are doing this.

We miss you soooooo much and will furever keep your spirit close to our heart!

Happy Birthday My Angel!!

I hope you are running and playing with your many pals at the bridge! Today you would have been about 11 years old. It's your first birthday away from us and it's really lonely. Yesterday- I celebrated it by giving Bodie some liver and his new favorite amish macaroni. Yup the little pig ate it all. Today he was seeking leftovers. I'm sure he was thinking about you.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Happy Birthday Mommy, I know you are missing me on your special day. I remember it being my special day also. It's the day- the nice lady found me running near the highway in PA. I hope you don't worry so much about me- just remember to take care of Bodie and Granny. You know he's not the smartest dog on the block - just the handsomest. I bet he's still bothering granny during her program. I wish I was there to teach him a lesson about respecting old people.

I'm staying busy here at the bridge- there are so many Huskies and Mal here to play with... but it's not the same without you Mommy! So try to enjoy your special day. Remember I'm your very own Angel and I'll forever be near you whenever you need me.

A Part of Me is Still Missing...

It's been over one month and the tears continue my sweet, naughty pretty girl. The nights are the hardest, because I know how you loved to stretch out at my feet while I was on the computer. I often wondered what was on your mind. I think I'm beginning to understand all those days that you stared at me and your Granny. Your eyes seem to want to remember every detail about us. I know you will never forget us and that you will be waiting for us when the time comes. My sweet pretty girl, you will always be a part of my heart.

Angels aren't always in Heaven they are at Rainbow Bridge- too!

I'm now my humans own personal Angel. I'm glad yesterday was a perfect Kiara day. Today I made that famous trip to Rainbow Bridge. My heart just couldn't take it anymore. The Vet told Mommy that even if he had drained the fluid I would still have went. I just would have went later. I guess there's no saving the heart. I'm not alone here at the bridge, there are so many of my Husky Heaven and Dogster pals that are showing me the ropes! I think this poem states it all.

North of The Rainbow Bridge

The time comes. A Siberian Husky lifts up its head. There is an untested adventure beyond. Time to go.

Across the Rainbow Bridge is a place for all dogs. A river runs wide and shallow with tennis balls that fly with their own wings; that is the place for a Labrador or Golden to await its master's arrival.

The Siberian is not content here. Northward is its trail....

There are soft pastures for Aussies and Border Collies, with sheep and geese to pen. Agility equipment grows like trees amid Frisbees and flyball.

But the North continues its sure wild call, and the Siberian's journey continues....

Now the air is colder. Now the moon is always full. Now the light is silver and it breaks and shimmers on fields of bright snow. Now there are no roads, no walls, no pens, just endless space to run. This is where Siberians gather, North of the Rainbow Bridge.

They wait in this beautiful place, happy, but not complete. Suddenly, a howl begins, as one dog senses someone coming, someone very special. All the Siberians raise their heads and join in the ancient chorus. They dance like moonbeams and sing like winter winds.

There are red ones like dawn streaks, black ones splattered with many colors and silver ones like the first strange hour before light. They line up as if in harness and run together, in a scintillating, many-colored streak. The leader of the team guides the others past the fields and river, with racing feet and racing heart. They rush to greet the new arrival at the Rainbow Bridge, where the leader is rejoined with its beloved person, never to be parted again.

The glory of the reunion is celebrated by all the Siberians dwelling beyond the Bridge, a glimmering, multicolored team leaping and whirling with joy. The light from that scene is what we see on magical evenings in the northernmost parts of this Earth: The Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights beyond the Rainbow Bridge

Happy Birthday to Meeeeeeee!

Today is my Happy Gotcha Day! The day we celebrate my birthday. Actually mommy wanted to start early with the celebration so she took me and Bodie on a hike yesterday through our wooded path. It was
great even though I knew she was pretty tired after work. Today we went to the dogpark. Our favorite is Turkey Hill and no there are no turkey's running around. It's a great place for people to bring dogs when you are traveling through the Southern part of Maryland on your way to the South. Today we met this woman with two Warmmies, who traveled from PA. One of the warmmies was only 12 weeks old and her other was 9 months and wow was he taller than Bodie! BOL. We all know how tall that boy is. So I hear them talking about making some pupcakes for me and I guess I have to share with Bodie. He did share his with me and besides mommy makes us share everything. She hates when we are being selfish with our treats and toys! Mommy knows she can save her money with the toys these days... I only want treats, treats and more treats!

The universal words for all pets is love us and treat us and we will love and treat you furever with our heart.
