First Boat Adventure !!!

We took Callie out on the boat yesterday and all went quite well. She was a little hesitant at first about getting in the water to swim, but as soon as I was in the water, she jumped right in. Considering we go out on the boat at least once a week, Callie will get a good workout every weekend......LOL. She also got to see the manatees, she didn't want any part of playing with them, but she watched as I rode on ones back..........she was on guard making sure I was ok with such big animals.
When I brought Callie home from the boat trip she was so exhausted she slept for most of the remainder of the day...........I'm glad you had fun Calendar Girl !!!!

New Owners

Callie has new owners now, although I'm sure she still loves her former owners. We want to thank her former owners VERY MUCH for letting us have Callie for our family. This weekend will be Callies very first trip out on a boat, I hope she likes it because we go out every weekend. Will keep everyone posted on her progress !!!

The car....

Good news!!! Callie loves the car now! She doesn't hesitate to go to the car anymore....she jumps right in. We're so excited! She seems to really enjoy her rides now. She's soooooo cute. We just love her so much!

The car....

Well, if you read about how we got Callie, then you know that she was dumped. So, I'm sure you can imagine how reluctant she is to get into our minivan. GOOD NEWS....we're making progress! I try to take Callie with me when I'm not going too far...to try to get her used to the car & to trust us. The first few times, I had to pick her up and put her in the car, and then she'd be fine. Now, when she sees that I'm leading her towards the car, she'll stop. Then I tell her, "Come on Callie" and guess what? She actually comes! Now, she gets in the car on her own! Of course she stays right up front in between the driver & passenger seats, but she seems at ease with it now. We went to Dunkin Donuts today. She got in all by herself and sat right next to me with her head on my thigh :) She's sooooo cute! I think she's very happy here and is trusting us more and more everyday.
