Baby girl's tales!

As much as it has broken my heart losing Choppa, I know that Kadie probably feels even worse. Kadie grew up with Choppa and he is all she knows. Kadie just lays down and doesn't want to eat now. She only perks up if we go outside to be by her. We are trying to support her and be there for her as much as we can. Kadie feels so lost without Choppa. I pray that God give her comfort and strength to carry on.

Halloween Tag!

I was tagged by my bestest pal Tyson!

Here are the rules:
Each player needs to tell seven random facts about themselves. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 facts. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play

1. I can't stand when my pawrents leave to go somewhere. I can't stand it so bad that I end up digging large holes in the yard and getting into trouble when they get home.

2. Also, when pawrents leave to go somewhere they have to pick up every rug in the house or else I take out my frustration of them being away on the rugs and I end up shredding them.

3. I love to go riding.

4. Bedtime is always nice cuz I love to snuggle by mom.

5. For some reason, I love to irritate Choppa sometimes & I take his toy and he can't ever catch me LOL!

6. I sit for treats.

7. I always have a comment about something and I have the last word in every situation!

The seven pups that I choose are CJ, Zeus, Darla, Max, Sienna, Buddy Lee, and Belle.

Happy Halloween Pups and have a pawesome time with HOWLOWEEN TAG!

Well baby girl is all well now & is back to her old self. However, we noticed a rised up area on her back that we thought was maybe where they had stuck her with a needle, but the area got larger & eventually busted. We had no idea what it was. Soooo the vet put her on antibiotics & we treated it with wound dressing spray & washed the area with sulfadine once a day. Finally after the area scabbed & peeled off several times, it finally started healing up. Her hair is starting to grow back there now & she feels SO much better!!! :)

Michael Vick Poem

Michael Vick
The very thought of what you have done makes me sick.
I don't know how you sleep at night
without images of an awful pitbull fight.
It is people like you that gives pitbulls a bad name,
and you act as if it is some kind of game.
I hope people see that pitbulls are helpless creatures
and not violent animals with fighting features.
How would you like to be electrocuted, hung, drowned or beat to death?
I hope the very thought of that makes you sweat.
I hope your career will rapidly descend,
as you think of the many lives that have come to an end.
I think changing your plea to guilty was not sincere,
when you thought of all the consequences you did it out of fear.
Nothing on this earth deserves what you put them through,
and I hope one day this will come back to haunt you.
I do believe that if not today,
you will definitely have your punishment on judgement day.
The only positive thing that has come out of this ordeal
is that now people know that pitbull fighting is out there and real.

It is such a shame
that pitbulls have a bad name.
You are definitely not vicious,
all you crave are hugs and kisses.
All you need is loving,
you enjoy going riding and love snuggling.
You are my sweet and sassy girl,
and I wouldn't trade you in for anything in this world.

All my deepest never-ending love forever and always,

I am writing this diary entry to inform animal lovers about a risk in spaying so that they won't have to go through what I went through on Friday August 10th. We took our female pitbull to get spayed. We decided to do this for several reasons, 1 it is hard to find good homes for pitbulls. 2 we won't ever have to put her in a pen cuz it doesn't work anyway, she does anything & everything to get out cuz she wants to be inside by us. 3 she had a litter of 10 pups & we figure we could always get a pup from one of her pups & still have a part of her. So with all that in mind, we decided to get her spayed. She was in heat, but NOBODY told me that there was a high risk doing a spay procedure while in heat. Had I been told this, I would have waited to get it done. Instead, we almost lost our baby girl. They had to operate on her twice. On the second surgery she was reopened cuz she was failing. Her body temp had dropped & she wasn't responding right. They had to do a longer abdominal incision in her to get all of the blood that was oozing out. She ended up being transported to Hattiesburg to the ER vet that has 24/7 hour monitoring. We rushed up to see her before she was transported thinking that may be the last time we see her. I felt ate up with guilt, like it was my fault for getting it done. The whole night none of us really got any sleep, worried sick. At 10 that night the ER vet called & said she was doing well. The next morning she looked as if she had perked up & all vitals were good. We got to go pick up our baby girl. We were so happy & it was a sigh of relief for us. She isn't out of the woods yet though. Somebody has to be with her at all times. We can't leave her alone. We have to watch her body temp & watch for any bleeding & make sure she doesn't lick the stitches. So we have her in a room and we each take turns with her so nobody ever leaves her side.

On 3/4/07 Kadie delivered her first litter of pups. We were so nervous for her hoping all would go well & it did. Our baby girl did great & delivered 10 healthy babies that are absolutely beautiful!!! We surely wasn't expecting 10 out of a first litter LOL. It is gonna be hard selling these babies cuz I have to admit we are already attached, who wouldn't be! :)
