Chasing SquirrelsMarch 9th 2013 10:45 am[ View A Comments (7) ]
Everydog has been in this position. You are standing with your human--maybe on a leash, maybe not, and a squirrel happens to walk by. The squirrel knows that this is going to cause a problem for the dog, and this is one reason that they walk by. They see a dog, and they just love to cause trouble! Once the dog sees the squirrel, the dog has to chase it which means that, either the dog runs off, or if there is a human holding the leash, the human might end up chasing the squirrel also. I have always considered this to be the squirrel's fault, but to be fair, I consulted with a philosopher to get the actual fact. The philosopher said that the squirrel is most definitely at fault, and the dog is just an innocent victim of squirrel sabotage. The philospher, Socrates Schnazer has been studying this situation for years, and he says that squirrels need to be chased, and dogs are the ones to do the job. Next time this happens, if your human gets upset, have them read this diary entry so that they will understand that it is all the squirrel's fault!
Go get em, DFB!! I will chase them here fur you, too...wheeeee! I've signed on the dotted line on this pact. Once I feel better I'll be out there chasing SQUIRRELS and CROWS!! Everything bad that happens in our yard is the squirrels fault!!! Death to the tree rats!! :) Squirrels definitely need to be chased. Chased, caught, and shaken. Squirrels, bunnys and birds are the enemy!!! I Sophie have only caught a bird.It helped that he was not moving at the time!!! Sammie telegraphs everything with never stop barking.. I chase them all too. I have caught birds but those darn squirrels are just too fast, so far! Hamish, suggest your humans get you a motorized dog car that is faster than the squirrel. In fact, all dogs should have a car for chasing squirrels in the yard! |
