Arrival Story:
Darby had no name when my husband and I first saw her. She was so cute and stuck in a petstore. The sign said free - and that she needed medical attention for a loud heart murmur. We talked to our vet and went back and decided to help her hopefully have a good life. I named her Darby and even though it has only been a couple of days we have become attached to her. She is getting to know our other dogs - Sydney and Darva.

Forums Motto:
Darby - I love to steal treats

Well stitches are out and I'm doing really well. I don't have to rest like before and the doctors are very happy with the progress I have made. They think I will grow up to be a nice little girl. Little do they know I love to chase and nip at Sydney and Darva's ankles and get them to chase me. I even steal their treats from their crates before we go to bed and hide them under my pillow for later. During the day because I'm still a baby and can't be trusted alone to long I get to go to my grandparents house during the day and play with the kids next door. I love all the attention. Then mom and dad come and pick me up and I go home to play with my sisters Darva and Sydney. Boy am I a lucky girl. Life is pretty great.

Talk to you soon,

Just wanted to give you guys and update - I had surgery at Tufts over a week ago and everything went really well. The doctors were very happy with the way the surgery went and said I should have a lot more energy. I know mom and dad are really happy about that because they were worried about me. I get my stitches out this week and will be able to get rid of this cone on my head.

Talk to you soon,

Well mom and dad took me to the Vet on Friday and the nice vet said I need to go to Tufts Animal Hospital for an ultrasound and chest xrays because my heart is working to hard and sounds just like a washer machine. I have some kind of defect but not sure what yet. I have an appointment on the 11th and dad will be taking me. I hope they can help me because I really like my new family. I am getting so much attention and lots of toys. I have two older sisters Sydney and Darva who are really good with me and let me run around and chase them in to their crates.

Well I have to get going now but I'll let you know how I make out!!
