I was a good dog again today.

We had a visitor last week when mom wasn't here. Auntie Amanda the petsitter (what does that mean anyway?) came to stay with us. She always seems to show up just when mom has gone out of town. It's starting to look like more than a coincidence. It actually works out well because we need someone to feed us and let us outside and keep us company, so lucky thing that she comes to see us. But I wonder if mom knows.

I was a good dog again today.

Today I came running inside when mom said Dakota come. And I didn't bark at Luna the crazy white dog that lives near the alley. Luna is just nuts, he jumps and jumps like he's trying to jump over but the fence is even taller than mom so he's out of his mind if he thinks he can jump it. I used to bark at him but now I just feel sorry for him. I think he's kind of not all there, if you know what I mean. We saw rabbits on our walk but mom wouldn't let me chase them. Sometimes she just doesn't get it.

The alley behind our house

I like to patrol the alley behind our house. I am not allowed to go there by myself but I know what's happening up there and I always keep an eye on those people. They built a new fence this weekend and they had a truck up there and a radio and several other things that I disapprove of. Mom said Dakota stop making all that noisy noise, which is something she says all the time and I'm not sure what it means but I love mom so I always go over and smell her. But I can't get distracted because I have to keep an eye on the alley. Another dog was there today walking her mom and I told them that was our alley. Humpf.

I was a good dog again today.

Is it wrong to eat things that taste good? I found something really good today when we were out walking and I ate it really fast. Sometimes if mom sees you eating something in the alley she says Dakota leave it! and you're not allowed to eat it. So if you smell something good you have to eat fast.

Our neighbors have new kittens at their house. I have been barking at them all day and I hope they come around here so I can get them. Mom doesn't let me go in their yard but I figured out a way to stick my head through a little hole in the fence in the back of the yard and keep an eye on them.

This morning I was a good dog. I sat and then I stayed in a down stay even when Montana didn't stay down. And she's supposed to be the smart one, hah! I've got down stay figured out and she doesn't. I mean, what part of STAY don't you understand? Duh.

I wonder when the kittens will be ready. Mmmm. Kittens.
