Elvis Update

Well, I must mention something about Elvis. He might not have the "C". Isn't that wonderful!! His mom has been through H@%# trying to find out what's wrong with him. Those vets apparently don't know one end from the other!! Thank God for Winston and his mom. They found another vet place close by and told them about it. A better one!!! The new vet says she knows what's wrong with him! Can you believe that!! In so short a time. WOW! We hope and pray that it isn't something too serious. See, we told you we were praying for a miracle. He and his poor family needs one right about now!

There's a sadness in the air for those of us who know Elvis. Turns out that the big "C" got ahold of him. No wonder he's been so sick. Life's just so unfair. We wish it wasn't true. Us pups don't have a long life to begin with but to be knocked down sooo young. Sheesh!!! It's just so sad. Mom's been bummed out 'cause it seems like lots of pups and kitties on dogster/catster have been crossing that Bridge lately. We're all just so sad. . .

Today, Steve Irwin would've been 46. Mom loves that guy. She was so sad when he died. We miss him and so do all the animals that he helped! Happy Birthday, mate. Crocs Rule!!

Guess what?! We met~in person~one of our pup pals from Dogster yesterday! Yep, that's right! We made plans to meet him and his mom at one of the dog parks. Mom was so excited and nervous to meet them. So when we got there, they were already there. We knew Kirby right away. Mom says he's so cute. He's smaller than mom thought he would be. You can't tell by a pic, you know. Mom said his eyes were pretty cool. His mom was very nice, too! We all got along great. Kirby was a gentleman. This was his first time at the dogpark so he sniffed around and took in the sights. It might be a once a month thing! Since mom won't take us all at same time, the others will go next time.

I've been Valentine tagged by my good buddy, Mr. "Deer Head"- Cowboy

Hey Pards-
I've been Valentine tagged. My good pal, Cowboy, chose me, "Mr. Handsome" Redford, as one of his five. Thanks, dude! Well, here goes:

I am going to tell you 5 Valentine wishes and then tag 5 friends with a p-mail or rosette. They will then write a diary entry with their 5 Valentine wishes and tag 5 friends with a pmail or rosette, and so on and so on...
but only if they really want to. Sometimes a dog just doesn’t have time to tag, so I totally understand if you can’t.

My five Valentine wishes are:

1. That I get more and more homemade whipped cream soon!

2. That mom would take me to the dogpark MORE often!

3. That I could eat treats 'til I pop! (Mom did NOT like this one.)

4. That my teenage female human sibling would stop yelling (when she gets
mad, which is often 'cause she likes to overreact) so I wouldn't have to
run and hide under the bed! SHEESH!!!!

5. That all the homeless and shelter doggies and kitties would get good
forever homes where they will be loved! I wish, I wish, I wish. . . .

Now here are the five lucky pups I will be tagging:

1. Jesse
2. Kirbo the Turbo
3. Connor
4. Petey
5. (Angel) Daisy

George, my pal, crossed the Rainbow Bridge

My pup pal from Australia passed Tuesday the 15th. He was such a wonderful character. He had it hard the first 8 years of his life but then the most loving family adopted him and he lived 'til he was 19. Wow! I'm so glad that I got to know him. My mom just absolutely fell in love with him. She cried and cried when she found out. But we know that he is in a far more beautiful place now and he suffers no more pain. He can run and play again! We feel for his family 'cause they can no longer touch him, hug him, and kiss him, but one day they will. That is what we all look forward to, that in the end, we will all be together again.

Happy New Year!!

Well, it's 2008. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't feel any different. Nothing feels any different. What's so great about another year. No biggie. Well, I guess that's good that things are still the same 'cause my life is pretty good I must say. Oh yeah, dad made lots and lots of whipped cream Sunday and I got to eat lots and lots of it!! Mmmm boy!!!! My absolute favorite! Now that's what I call a TREAT!! Here's another quote to start off the new year.

"We are grateful for the very existence of dogs, and I like
to think that they feel the same way about us. Both species
have alot to be grateful for. It is one of the great miracles
of nature that we have come together in love and friendship
in a way that no other two species ever have."

Dexter, our pal from the UK is finally home. If you recall, he had to be in quarantine for 6 months 'cause he was coming from Holland. Now, if you ask me, that's way too long! Totally dumb!!! I, for one, am very happy to see him home where he belongs. Totally great!!

Mom Learned How

Hey, guess what. My mom learned how to cutsie up our pages. She did it without asking anyone. Not even my teenage human sibling knew how (she thinks she knows it ALL)! But mom told her HA HA! Mom still has alot to learn. She loves to do stuff on Dogster/Catster 'cause she loves us alot. Anyway, she wants me to add another quote from a book. Here goes:

"A dog is utterly sincere. It cannot pretend...People use you
and pretend they don't while dogs use you in complete honesty
because they have no choice, and they have not an ounce of
deceit in their soul nor self-consciousness about any of this."

Another quote

I want to share another quote my mom likes. I like it too.

"And when we bury our face in our hands and wish
we had never been born, they (dogs) don't sit up very
straight and observe that we have brought it all upon
ourselves. They don't even hope it will be a warning
to us. But they come up softly, and shove their head
against us...he looks up with his big, true eyes, and
says with them, 'Well you've always got me, you know.
We'll go through the world together, and always stand
by each other , won't we?'"
