Okay, for all you General Hospital fans out there, back in the 80s, there was Luke and Laura Spencer (yes, I know, I'm dating myself quite a bit here, but those were the golden years!!!) who were soap opera royalty.

Anthony Geary who played Luke Spenser has called his secret two-year romance with Elizabeth Taylor "a wonderful time" and was prepared to take the affair with him to the grave - until Taylor herself confessed all.

On the Oprah Winfrey Show, the actor said, "For many years I kept it quiet because it's not a gentlemanly thing to talk about, and then Elizabeth spoke about it in an interview... a few years ago and after that I thought, 'Ok.'

"I spent a couple of years with her and it was a wonderful time in my life."

Geary reveals the romance started when Taylor was a guest on his TV soap in 1981: "She liked the soap and she liked Luke and then she sort of liked me when she found out who I was."
