Arrival Story:
I was sitting in a bar with my friends when a guy walked in with 3 adorable puppies and said he was going to take them to the shelter if no one wanted them. I knew since they were pit puppies they would be euthanized immediately. I picked Cody because he was the sweetest, cutest, smartest and seemed to have an affinity for the cocktail I had set on the ground :).

Bio:
On 4/5/11 my dearest Cody peanut went to the rainbow bridge after a valiant 11 month fight against Mast Cell Cancer. He was my best friend and the light of my life and I miss him terribly. He was the best dog I have ever had or met. Cody was very intelligent and is a super athlete. From seven weeks old he started fetching and learning commands - there was nothing I asked him that he wouldn't do. He was great at Frisbee, he surfed, dove for rocks in the river and had been known to cliff dive. If he were human (which I’m not sure he wasn't), he would have been a dare devil or a stunt man for sure - this dog had no fears except for people in wide brimmed hats and plastic bags that get swept up in the wind :). Everyone who met him loved him and he did his part to try and educate people on how wonderfully tempered pit bulls can be with the right training, socialization and love. He is missed as much as he was loved.
