Arrival Story:
Our family wanted a dog and researched what type would be best for us. We decided on the shiba inu. But, before we could find one I took home from the shelter a spiegle (beagle-spaniel mix) who was to become her big sister. With no real intention of getting a second dog we saw a shiba at the pet store. We'd visit him regularly just because he was so much fun to play with. The $800 price tag was way beyond consideration. Then after a couple of weeks his price was slashed to a mere $500. That's how we got Copper. I couldn't resist a bargain!

Bio:
He came from a very reputable breeder in Kansas.

I Heart Bones..........my bones being stolen, not so much

today, I was relaxing on the couch, gnawing on my juicy bone, and I got a little thirsty. so I trotted over to my water bowl, sipped up some water, and my bone was gone. It wasn't lost, I could see right there in ZOEY'S PAWS! she was chewing on it like it was never mine!! so I lifted my upper lip, looked her in the eye and clearly gave her a warning. But she just put her ears back and continued to chew!!!! Gosh, the nerve of some dogs. I growled, and jumped at her. I wasn't going to let her have my bone was I??? no!! So she snapped at my ear, so i pinned her down. Then we got in this fight and Mommy came and yelled at us, and Zoey kicked at my chest but I wasn't letting her get away. So Mommy held up a piece of cheese....don't get me wrong, I love bones, but cheese.............asddddu09=[0988uii[aw[344455306;;; sorry, i fell asleep on the computer. I dreamed of cheese....yum! So anyway Zoey got away, whimpering. What a wimp. Then halfway through my bone I felt bad, so I went over and gave her my bone. She gnawed on it gratefully.......

ugh, im getting soft, aren't I? a king as to be tough..But still! When she walked away I stole it back.

Uh oh, she's coming back, I....Um.....better drop this bone back, and..

outside

Going outside is just so easy to do. When you WANT to. Me, I never want to go outside. There's too many bugs and getting your paws all wet- ugh- who would want that? Not me so when Mommy asks me to go outside I'm no dumb shiba !!! i mean, I know she wants me to, and she knows I don't want to, so why try? I prefer to go to the bathroom in the bathroom like humans. But for some reason Mommy doesn't like that! So sometimes I really, really, have to not want to go, but Mommy's upstairs and she will become suspicious, I have to wait till everyone's busy. But then, Mommy sees me and she says something in English (what kind of a language is that??) and pushes my BUTT to make me go down the stairs. I USUALLY think she has food most of the time, she does but other times she doesnt. Then she opens the basement door and I get excited because when she's not looking I go potty down there. But this time she was coming (oh my cainine, will I ever get to go) So I follow her and then out of NOWHERE she pulls out a LEASH, clips it to my collar, and drags me outside the back door. She is so tricky sometimes I swear. Anyway Mommy brings me outside and I try not to step on any grass don't want to get my paws wet and I TRY, repeat TRY not to beat up the flies on my nose and I go. Ya see, it's hard being perfect. That's why not many dogs can pull it off, but- me? It's no problem at all.

Your majesty,
Copper the Shiba Inu

My Tail of Devotion for ♠ Copper ♠

Copper,

What would we do without you? We love you so much!

When that little incident happened in July, we thought the worse immediately. We were so worried, and it made us realize how much we loved you. After the first visit to you when you were at the vet, it made us all cry.

When we took you home, you were always under the bed and hiding in the closet. It made us so sad, and you had this lump in your neck from the twig. You were SO lucky that they were able to get it out.

But after you were better, and being 'social' again, we were really happy.

Copper, we love the way you wag your tail, the way you bark, the way you press your head against our stomaches, the way you sleep, we love Y-O-U.

Please, live long and happy forever.

Love,
Your Human Family
