I Finally Figured it Out!

Today was such a long day! First mommy took me to two big buildings, where lots of women with really high voices passed me around and petted me. Mommy put me down and I followed her around, and she was really happy. Then she took me out to the vet, and a strange man and woman poked around in my mouth and made me swallow a nasty pill. I didn't like that much. But it wasn't as bad as when they squirted that stuff in my nose. They said that now I'm a big boy, I'm a whole 2.2 pounds! Then they said I have to come back in two weeks and get more shots. Ick.

Mommy signed me up for a puppy kindergarten. She says I'll go to it three times before we leave for the west; she says I'll meet lots of nice puppies there. I hope she's right.

When we got home I romped around for a while. Started to go to the bathroom, but mommy picked me up and put me in the box full of green pellets. She didn't seem too happy when she cleaned up my mess. So a little later when I had to go again, I got in the box to see if that was okay.

When I went to the bathroom inside the box in the green pellets, mommy was REALLY happy! She gave me a bone and played with me lots. I think I'm gonna use that box from now on, if it makes mommy happy.

I'm tired, so I think I'll go curl up under mommy's chair, like always. I need a nap. Mommy says she's going out with a friend for a few hours tonight and that Grandma will be babysitting me- I hope it's fun!

My new home!

I just got picked up by my brand new owner today. She smells like so many other animals, and all of them live in the house she took me to. The cats keep sniffing my butt, it's kind of annoying.

I suppose I could get used to this, but my new owner Krista says we're not staying here long. We're going to a faraway land in the mountains, someplace called Denver. She says that there we'll have an entire home to ourselves, just us two, in a thing called an apartment. I hope it's bigger than the room she lives in right now.

She says Denver is nice, that she visited, and that she'll be going to a place that teaches her how to take care of me and a lot of other animals. She says we're going in a month. It seems so far away.

But in the meantime, I just need to figure out why every time I try to go to the bathroom she picks me up and drops me in a gray box full of green pellets. Humans can be so weird sometimes.
