Sweet Child of Mine

Guess what everyone? I just found out that I'm going to be reunited with my long lost dog-ter! That's right. I'm a momma, and my dearest daughter and I have lived apart for a while (we were adopted by different families). Well, she came up for adoption again, and my folks jumped at the chance to bring us back together.

We look almost exactly alike, except I understand that she's a little bit taller and thinner than I am. (Kids!)

I can't wait to sniff her with my own two nostrils... and welcome her HOME!

Bow WOW!

An interview with Isabelle Lovekin (IL).

DOGSTER: Are there any dogs you look up to?

IL: Being as petite as I am, I find that I look up to most dogs! But honestly, I really admire Pomeranians. They're orange and fluffy -- everything I'm not.

DOGSTER: Are there any dogs you don't like?

IL: I hate Pugs. I don't know what it is about them, but whenever I see that punched in face and those flappy jowls, my lip starts to curl!

DOGSTER: Where do you like to hang out on a Saturday night?

IL: We have a home theater downstairs, so it makes it easy to be a homebody. I like to chill with my folks and catch up on Laguna Beach (the OC is my dream destination!)

DOGSTER: What's your fantasy meal?

IL: Strangely the healthy stuff makes my mouth water, like juicy crushed blueberries.

DOGSTER: What toy are you fascinated with now?

IL: I have this little green guy that we call "Mr. Peabody." He's sort of a cross between a dragon and an elf -- green with beige hands and a little white tuft of hair.

I'm in a New York State of Mind...

Last weekend my parents took me to New York City. It was a blast. But the best part was walking around Soho in my new sundress. I was the talk of the town. Three strangers asked if they could take my picture. I'm thinking they had me confused with Lindsay Lohan (we have some similar features). My favorite part was sitting at an outdoor cafe while mom and dad had lunch. They got to eat, and I got to lie in the sun and sniff around for any morsels of food that hit the sidewalk...

A Week at Camp (well, sort of)

I am spending a week at doggie camp. That's what my mommy calls it. My parents are in Spain and I get to spend some time with lots of other fun small dogs. I have a cozy area, all to myself, and then I get to spend time in a special play group.

I was so excited to get there and wagged my tail when I met the other doggies. I don't think I've ever had so many other doggies around me. So many tushies to sniff, so little time...

Adios for now!

Why I Love My Dad!

My dad is really great. Here's why:

1. He walks me early in the morning when mommy is still asleep.
2. He feeds me breakfast and plays with me even when he is racing out the door to go to work.
3. He smells pretty good when he goes to work, but I think he smells even better after a soccer game. (Mommy disagrees.)
4. He goes with me to my Canine University classes, even though he is allergic to all of the other doggies in the room.
5. He picks me up if I get cold or cranky on my walks.
6. He plays tug of war with my lobster and other toys. I love a good fight!
7. He talks to me in a regular voice, not a baby voice like the silly one mom uses.
8. He gives me treats when I do something good, like sit and stay.
9. He worries about me when I'm scared and tries to help me overcome my fears.
10. He doesn't mind that sometimes I get a little worked up and bark at him when I haven't seen him in a while.

Thanks for being awesome, dad!
