Arrival Story:
I'd always wanted a Corgi and I saw Wiley's smiling face in the Pet of the Week section of the Detroit Free Press . He was at the Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society so I drove over to meet him, fell in love at first sight, and filled out the adoption papers right then.

Bio:
Wiley had been to two abusive homes before turned into the shelter. He was deathly afraid of noises and had fatty pockets on his ribs where he had been kicked. When the adoption was approved and I went to pick him up, he jumped into the car and rode all the way home with a big Corgi smile - he knew he was going to his forever home and would NEVER be mistreated again. Wiley fit right in after he taught me that there was no way he was going to sleep in a crate; he worked his way out of three different kinds of crates. His second night at home he jumped in the living room chair to sleep and that became his chair. Wiley came to me at the age of four and lived with me for five years before he became sick. He left for the Rainbow Bridge a month after his cancer diagnosis. I still miss him so very much, but I know I'll see him again one day.
