I don't have a mast cell tumor!!!

It was a Plasmacytoma, a benign cancer! It was totally encapsulated, doesn't recur, doesn't metastasize, and is considered curative if complete excision is achieved -- and he got it all!!!!

YAY!!! Thank you to everyone for your prayers, and thank you to God for answering them!!

Hi everyone, this is Bella's Mommy, Jodi.

Please pray for Bella today, she is at the vet having a tumor removed from her foot. The vet says we won't know if it's cancer or not for a couple days, he has to send it off to pathology.

This dog is my heart, thank you for any thoughts or prayers you send her way.

I have a growth on my foot :(

Hi everydoggie....

I have a growth on my foot and I have to go to the vet first thing in the morning to have it looked at. Mommy says it worries her. I am just worried that I have to go to the vet, since that is NOT my favorite place to go!

Mommy says that if the vet doesn't want to keep me for the day to have it removed, we will go for a fun walk on the trail as soon as we leave the vet's office!

So... please say a prayer that the growth on my foot is nothing serious and that I will get to go for a fun (if rainy) walk tomorrow rather than spending the day at the vet.

Halloween is coming!

I love Halloween!

Guess why...

I think it is great fun to be SCARY!!

Sammy, my doggie brother, has the "treat" in trick-or-treat covered, and my job is to take care of the trick part of the equation.

See, if anyone is silly enough to come to our door to knock and ask for candy... well, they will be standing there waiting patiently for the door to open when BAM!!! I will hit the front window barking like a wild thing!! Hahaha! They will be expecting a treat, but they will get me -- a scary TRICK!!

oh... Mommy says I will not be allowed to play my part in the trick-or-treat experience.

Maybe I will just join Sammy in begging for treats (dog treats, not candy), or maybe I will join Autumn in growling and barking at random doors in our house to scare Mommy and Daddy into thinking there's a monster there...

A fun afternoon!

This afternoon Mommy and I had some fun, just the two of us!

We went into town and walked for awhile... until we saw Mommy's Daddy! We visited him and I gave him love and wags. Then, while Mommy and her Daddy talked, I wanted to bark at doggies and skateboards and strange men as these things passed by, but Mommy wouldn't let me.

After we visited for awhile with Mommy's Daddy, we walked some more! It was a wonderful fall day, so nice and cool and cloudy, we just loved it!

Oh yes, I can't forget, I got to ride in the car to town and back again, which I love! I'm belted in (I have a car harness), so Mommy opens the window partway so I can sniff the fresh air and bark out the window at things like horses and cattle!

This was a nice afternoon!

I went to the river today!

Today was lots of fun!

Of course, first thing in the morning I got to go for my walk. Like usual, I raised my leg and marked like a boy doggie lots of times, and I scratched the ground up when I was done too, and I always have on my very cute happy face when I am scratching the ground!

Then it was breakfast time, and breakfast had turkey in it! YUMMY!

Then we relaxed for awhile... until Mommy looked at me and said "Bella wants to go for a ride in the car?", which is one of my favorite things she asks me! OF COURSE I DO! And guess where she was taking me? To a hiking trail that leads to a sandy beach at the river!

I had so much fun hiking and playing in the water today! I met four doggies who were very nice, although one of them did steal my stick, but Mommy found me another one. I don't really swim, but I LOVE to run and splash and jump in the water, and I chased sticks and barked and wagged and splashed a lot! It was such fun, and Mommy said we will be doing that again!

Then tonight when I got home, there was turkey in my dinner! YAY!

Now it's sleepy time for speckled little me...

Today's adventure...

Hi Dogster friends!

Today when Mommy came home, Daddy let me out in the front yard to greet her. As soon as I got outside, I began rolling like mad in some weeds. Mommy asked Daddy, "What is she rolling in?" and Daddy said, "I sprayed Round-up there earlier..." and Mommy about had a heart-attack! OH NO! She grabbed the hose and rinsed my face and eyes right away, and then called the doggie ER to ask what to do. Guess what they said: Give the dog a bath!!

So that's what Mommy did... she took me in the backyard and broke out the hose. I thought we were going to PLAY and I got all excited. But Mommy put a leash on me and didn't let me run and jump and bite the water, instead, she put tearless shampoo on me and scrubbed and rinsed, and then she put conditioner on me and rinsed!

Now I'm a nice soft sweet-smelling doggie! Rolling in round-up was NOT a good thing, and getting a bath with the hose instead of playing with it was NOT a fun thing... but being soft and fluffy and good-smelling IS a good thing since now Mommy can't stop touching my silky fur (this means lots of PETTING!)...

Such a great day!!

Today I had the most fun day ever!

This morning Mommy decided to take me hiking! We went to Sly Park Lake, and it was so much fun. I smelled lots and lots of stuff there, and I marked a lot (I mark like a boy dog, and I scratch up the ground afterward too!). It was a beautiful trail right by the water. I went in the water, but I just waded in... I think swimming is SCARY. I do the silliest thing, I put my whole face in the water! I saw lots of things on the trail that I would normally bark at, but I barely barked today since I was busy having FUN! Things I saw that I didn't bark at (well, just a little):
Kids (love to bark at them)
Bikes (REALLY love to bark at them!)
Strange Men (SCARY!!!)
A boat on the lake with people in it (growled at it)
A lady who wanted to pet me (I let her... a little)
Two other doggies (sniffed them, no barking)
A giant waterfall (loud... made me a little nervous)

That was my hike, and it was wonderful!

Then when we got home, Mommy opened the toy box and we PLAYED!!! And guess what! She LEFT IT OPEN all afternoon (it's STILL OPEN as I write this!). Normally she puts all the toys away when we're done playing, but today there are toys all over the place and we can carry them around and have them all we want (she normally puts them away because we will destroy them if she doesn't supervise us).

THEN we did some trick training, which I LOVE! We use a CLICKER! Love this, big-time!

Now I'm a tired doggie... I'm going to sleep GOOD tonight!

1. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT? In Mommy's bed, of course! And on chilly nights, I sleep under the covers with her!

3. NOW THAT IT'S SUMMER, WILL YOU BE GETTING MORE COLD TREATS LIKE FROSTY PAWS, ICE CUBES OR ICE CREAM, ETC.? I'm sure of it! Mommy has vowed to find me some Frosty Paws! Plus, I get goodies after we hike, like today I got a beef stick (not cold, I know, but still a treat)! And I got to drink cold water out of Mommy's water bottle (she tips it upside down and I use it like a water-licker).

4. NOW THAT SUMMER IS HERE, DO YOU HAVE A SWIMMING POOL YOU USE WHEN ITS HOT? YES I DO!!! I love my kiddie pool! Plus, Mommy takes me to the lake and I wade in that! I don't swim though, too scary.

5. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU DO THAT DRIVES YOUR PAWRENTS CRAZY? Heehee, Bob told me that it was my job to take over the drive-Mommy-crazy-in-the-car duties... so I do! I bark and go wild in the car every time I see a motorcycle or a bicycle or an animal or a human! It's FUN!

My doggie friend got hit by a car...

Hello everybody...

There was a doggie in our neighborhood who had a very bad Daddy. His Daddy let him run in the street and chase cars and bark at other doggies. He "terrorized" the neighborhood, especially people who walked their dogs by his house.

But this doggie who did not like anyone, not other doggies especially, well... he loved me and Mommy. We would walk by his house and he would run out to bark and he would see it was us and he would be SO happy! He would rush out to meet us and wag his tail and want to play with me! And he would give Mommy loves, leaning into her for petting and snuggling. He was a big, beautiful Golden Retriever, and his name was Thor. My Mommy would guide him off the street if a car was coming, but his owners didn't care about him at all (Mommy told them once that she was trying to keep him from being hit when we walked by, but they didn't care).

Mommy recently learned that Thor had been hit by a car, and she heard that he died. We are so very sad. My friend Thor deserved better. Mommy called Animal Services on the bad Daddy and Mommy who let Thor run in the road, but I guess they couldn't help, since we hear he died in the road.

Goodbye Thor, you were a good doggie, and me and Mommy always wished that you could come live with us, where you would be safe and never run in the road. We are so sorry you had to go to the Bridge so young. We love you, and someday, when it is our turn to cross over Rainbow Bridge, we will see you there.
