Arrival Story:
I got Dusty on an ill-fated trip across Texas. We were going to go to a 4 show weekend in Odessa, then drive across to Liberty. While we were at the shows in Odessa one of our friends came up and said he had a litter there for sale. So, I bought him while I was there. On the way across to Liberty, our RV's transmision started having problems.. so, we stopped in a hole-in-the-wall town called Rising Star to get it fixed. Everything was going fine until we got to Conroe... then tranny problems again. We got the RV to Liberty. Did the show while we were there, then called my friend Sunday's husband to come pick us up from Phoenix! He made that trip in 22 hours...

Bio:
Dusty is the first of 3 registered Pit Bulls I have now. He started out as a conformation dog when I lived in AZ, once I moved back to WI he started weight pull training. He's not real good at it, but he really enjoies it. Dusty is also a registered Blood Donor here in Milwaukee, at The Animal Emergency Center. He is one of the representatives for their program! Everyone there loves him..he just lays there while he is being bled.. such a good boy everyone says...LOL

Rusty Wallace,

You have got to be the goofiest Pittie I have ever seen, man! I think you act more like a Lab or something than a Pit bull..

Although I know you will never excell at weight pulling, I know you do it because it makes your Dad happy to be able to go out to the shows and watch you working. When you are on.. we;re gunna do well, but when you are in one of your goofy moods, we just go out for the h*** of it & let people laugh at you and tell me that you must have some jackrabbit in you somewhere with how high you jump!!

Just like Z, everyone that has met you (especially the girls!!), has loved you. You are one of the most handsome Pit Bulls most people have seen.. at least from what I hear anyway!

This is going to be your last season pulling bud, so that way you can enjoy your old age like Ziero has been.. just lounging around the house whenever I go out with the 2 little kids.

I hope you have enjoied your time with me as much as I have with you.

Dad loves ya man!

Call me a Dog

This is one of my favorite songs by TOTD

You call me a dog well that's fair enough
Cause it ain't no use to pretend
You're wrong
When you call me out I can't hide anymore
I have no disguise you can't see through

Well you say it's bad luck
To have fallen for me
Well what can I say to make it good for you
You wore me out like an old winter coat
Trying to be safe from the cold

But when it's my time to throw
The next stone
I'll call you beautiful if I call at all

You tell me I'm low 'cause I've slept on the floor
And out in the woods with the badgers and wolves
You threw me out 'cause I went digging for gold
And I came home with a handful of coal

But when it's my time to throw the next stone
I'll call you beautiful if I call at all

And when it's time to call your bluff
I'll call you beautiful or leave it alone

You call me a dog
Well that's fair enough
It doesn't bother me as long as you know
Bad luck will follow you
If you keep me on a leash and
You drag me along
