Tracking class update

Barking out loud... I'm having so much fun with my mama in my tracking class. I know what it means when that alarm goes off so early on Saturday mornings now, but I think mama will be glad when our class next session starts at 9 in the morning rather than 7 in the mornings on a Saturday -- not to mention we've had some cold mornings -- but I love it! I'm definitely a cold weather girl! WOOF!

We did 115-yard long tracks last weekend that included right and left serpentines. I did really good on the turns this time, except for I lost the scent just a little before the article -- but I found it!

That's all for now. Mama says she needs the 'puter back to do her work.

Tracking class...

BOL! What fun! I think I'm really going to like this. When we got to class it was still dark but mama said the sun would be up soon. When the teacher got there, she had us play the article game and do three short tracks. Mama said she thought I got in a hurry and missed some on the tracks (it's my first day, Mom!) -- but she couldn't really tell if I was hoovering them up instead.

We have to practice this week and then back to class on Saturday -- woo-hoo!

Christmas in New Mexico

We just got back from a pawtastic Christmas in the snow -- what a treat since we rarely get snow where we live.

It was soooo cold, though, that I had to wear booties to protect my feet from the ice. We had lots of fun -- and can't wait to go back!

I start my tracking training class this Saturday, so we'll post another entry then.

Therapy

Hey y'all! I "graduated" from therapy yesterday... I'm going to miss seeing my friends there, though! Lots of kisses to Jennie, Vessie, and Martha!

Therapy...

Did y'all see the picture mom put up front today? That's what I'm having to do again to rehab my knee after the surgery that I had in May. I like going, but today they made the water deeper and made me swim in that tank too! What's up with that?

Mom said I was showing my butt today because I was barking at this other dog that was in the therapy room with me. I know I'm not supposed to behave like that, but you know, sometimes a girl's just got to sound off!

Oh, Lobo...

I miss your face. I stand up and look out my office window, expecting to see you looking up at me with your happy, sweet face. And this morning, when we didn't see you at the gate to give you a treat -- it hurts so... We're going to miss you more than we ever imagined.

Lobo was my neighbor's dog. He crossed the bridge the other night at only 1 1/2 years old. Such a sweet soul. It shone in his eyes. I always had my suspicions about him having hip problems; sadly, they were proved right.

Tres-girl is going to miss her play buddy/sweetheart, but you'll always remain in our hearts.

I got my stitches out yesterday and now we start exercises at home -- we start therapy in two weeks... but in the meantime, I've been tagged! woo-hoo! Bear (Big Dawg) got me...

Wuf, it's good to be home on my bed and blankies! Mom got to pick me up yesterday from the surgery place -- everything looks good. now comes the rest and healing!

I just called to check on our girl at the surgery center and see when she could come home today. She might not get to today... :( They said she's "weak" and that it's not unusual, but they might want her to stay another night. I miss my girl...
