Arrival Story: Only had Candy for very short while . I have fostered her from the Sydney Dogs Home at Carlton. Day one and I was already in love and wanting to keep her. She is so sweet , cuddly and so quiet I hardly know she is here. It's so sad to see all those dogs in cages at the pound. I just hoped we could find her a home that would give her the love she deserves. Being a Silky she needs to be groomed alot! Twice she has been given back to the pound in a matted, horrible, dirty mess. That is why her fur has been clipped back very short, I think it looks cute though! She is so adorably sweet I don't know how she could left this way. When she looks into your eyes you just want to hold her and let her know that everything is going to be alright. She is still a little shaky and timid around strangers but after a long cuddle she calms right down, at the moment her bed is her security and has been snuggled up in it most of the time.
UPDATE: Went back to the pound today and adopted Candy! I knew I couldn't resist but there's too much to love!
Bio: Rescue a dog from a shelter! It's so worth it as I have learnt from having Candy this short time.

My sweet little Candy, what more can I say. I was only suppose to keep you for a little while as a foster carer but I fell in love with you from the start and rushed straight back to the pound to make you my own before showing you to anyone!!!. You are such an obedient little dog. When I first got you your hair was all shaven off and you were very timid yet so loving and appreciative of everything that I did for you. I could tell by those puppy dog eyes staring up , it just melted my heart and still does I can tell how much you love me too. You have come out of your shell alot now Candy, infact I didn't even realised you knew how to bark until a few months after getting you.. but I know you are trying to protect us from the doggies next door, isn't that right ? hehe.. You get on so well with little isaac and I am so glad that I kept you and didn't risk the chance of you being taken back to the pound for the 3rd time by irresponsible dog owners. I still don't understand why you kept getting taken back to the pound you are such a good girl and if people couldn't be bothered to brush your coat a couple of times a week then they are not capable of looking after any dog let alone one with long pretty fur like you. Love you to bits my snuffy wuffy candy wandy! HeHe! ;)
I had 3 teeth taken out today! Ouch... but surprisingly I was still able to scoff down some bikkies with my dog meat, mum didnt feed me any bikkies cos the vet said I probably wouldn't want to eat them cos they are hard, so I stole Dela's instead! She wasn't happy but oh well I was hungry and the tablets I am taking are helping to ease the pain. Mummy has been saving up, she said she feel bad to have left it that long but didn't have the money. My poor toothy pegs have been like this since my last owner! Bad owners! Mummy says she is getting my hair cut soon around my face cos my hair keeps getting in my eyes and making a mess and I hate wearing those stupid pig tails!! Anhoo its back to sleeping on the floor under mums computer chair...
Just a quickie to explain my newest pics, if you wondering who that other dog they got me wrapped around in the photo it's Ella the Cavie who will be moving into our new place with us and her mum (if it ever happens). I don't get these humans it's like the first time we meet and within minutes they got us snuggling with each other, I mean really... I don't just share my bed with anyone. But hey can't complain Ella seems pretty cool and laid back like me , as long as Ella doesn't decide to take over when we move I'm down with that.
