Dear Diary,
I turned 4 years old this week. Do you think that maybe I am old enough that my mom will stop trying to dress me up and humiliate me? If I could only talk, I would tell my mom..."I'm a dog!" My brothers Yoshi and Keiko don't seem to mind dressing up, but I hate it!! At least they didn't make me enter the bathing suit contest at Pet Fest, however, there's no doubt I would have won.

My birthday was fun. It was a Saturday so Mom and Dad were home most of the day except when they went to Petsmart to get my birthday toy. Keiko didn't seem to understand that it is my toy, just like he doesn't understand that they are all my toys. Everything is mine. It's my Mom. My Dad. My bed, my food, my treats. Everything is mine, Because it's all about me, me, me!

We had my favorite meal for my birthday...Chicken. There was lots of it. There was even enough that we had it again for breakfast the next day.

Dear Diary,

Wish I could write more, but my Mom has been gone alot this past month and Dad never turns the computer on. He seems to prefer the TV. Actually he worships the TV; he makes us worship the TV. Mom went to Arizona and Boston and didn't take me. I couldn't believe it. It was tough while she was gone. Dad gets up a full hour later than Mom so we are starving by the time he drags out of bed and decides to feed us. And then he won't sing to us like Mom. Breakfast is not the same without a version of "Breakfast Time".

I got to have my picture taken with Santa yesterday. I would be thrilled but Mom insisted on Yoshi and Keiko being in the picture too. What was she thinking?? They don't even know how to pose!! Matter of fact I think Yoshi had his head in Santa's mouth and Keiko... well I won't tell you where I think his nose was. I can tell you Santa didn't say anything about them being good dogs or bringing lots of puppy toys! We can probably salvage the pictures by cutting them out. Me... I should have been a model. Mom says so all the time! Well I will be checking the mail daily for the pictures. I love pictures of me. Mom will get them on Dogster real soon and send them out to all our relatives!

I thought today was going to be a good day. Mom gave me extra attention and belly rubs before we got out of bed. Then Yoshi and I got to go for a walk. However, when we got back, I was dumped with Dad to watch a boring football game and Yoshi got to go back out with Mom and Yoshi. Evidently Mom thought Yoshi would be better at teaching Keiko to walk on a leash. Yes, maybe I growl, snap and snarl at Keiko, but does that mean I wouldn't be a good teach.

I think I am going to have to rethink my strategy about this new rugrat that has entered my life.
