Happy Birthday to me! Today I am eight!August 24th 2006 7:27 am[ Leave A Comment ] Another birthday! I am eight today. Last year, I survived breast cancer and the untimely death of my younger brother Luc. I am in great health now. But I do still miss my brother very, very much. He was so much fun and we always had a great time playing and cuddling together. He sure packed a very big personality into twenty two pounds. Luc, I will never forget you and I wish you were here. It's my first birthday without you.

Check out my new dog book!January 12th 2005 2:49 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
I am in this new Frenchie book entitled Frenchie Kisses that was just published this month. I am in the group photo near the very beginning of the book.
Happy New YearDecember 30th 2004 1:47 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Happy new year to one and all. I want you all to be safe, healthy, happy, and successful this year. Just remember--if you see me at the dog run--you can look, but do not sniff my butt. It's rude and I do not consider it acceptable behavior despite its maintstream appeal in the canine world. So watch it--or you will feel my wrath!!!
I never forget a store with biscuits.December 16th 2004 2:48 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
If you want my business, then stock up on the bicuits. Dry cleaners, drug stores, delis, and all other stores should have treats for the canine companions of their customers.
Puppies know a lot--about nothing!!!December 10th 2004 3:41 pm[ Leave A Comment ] What it is with these puppies? I could not be less interested in them and yet, more often than not, they gravitate towards me. I do not encourage them. I do not appear friendly. I am minding my own business and yet, these drooling, wiggling, out of control creatures insist on coming over to me. they jostle me. They bump into me. They show no respect. They have not a clue about the very meaning of respecting your elders. they annoy me. I am so glad that I was spayed!!!
life is good in the big cityDecember 7th 2004 3:14 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
sometimes I hear folks say, "Well I would never have a dog in the city, it jsut does not seem fair." To that I say--HAH! Wrong! I have a great life in New York City. Every day is filled with new adventures. I go to the park and watch the birds and the squirrels. I meet dozens of new people evry day who dote on me and tell me how wonderful I am. I go into many stores where I am fawned over and given treats. I meet all sorts of great dogs at the local parks and dog runs. I go to restaurants, department stores, and all kinds of fun shops. I go on trains, subways, boats, in limos, and in taxicabs. I go to barbecues, picnics, and other parties.
I am no Sandra DeeDecember 4th 2004 10:46 am[ Leave A Comment ] I have a lovely and somewhat mild-mannered friend named Sophie (who is also a Frenchie). She is so young and innocent! She often allows other dogs to play a tad too roughly with her at the dog run and that is where I come in. If I see a young rambunctious puppy pulling on sophie's ears or knocking her over...well, I move in and tell that other dog to tone it down and back off. If the dog does not listen to my warning, then I give it a quick nip in the butt and commence with more yelling. That usually works on the roughhouser. If not, then I simply repeat the whole process until the dog gets the message. Sophie is kind of like Sandra Dee and I am just a tougher , more street smart kind of gal. No one, and I mean no one, sniffs my butt without an invitation. No way, Mister!
Why I am against impolite sniffingSeptember 27th 2004 10:40 am[ Leave A Comment ]
Why do other dogs assume that just because I am a dog I will welcome some stranger sniffing my butt? I certianly do not behave in such an unncouth manner (well, most of the time) and I find that form of canine behavior demeaning, degrading, and frankly--it sets us all back hundreds of years! No wonder expressions like "You dirty dog!" are still common amoung the humans.
