This is the internet history of Druidzilla the Wonder Dog. Druidzilla isn't actually able to record her own adventures, so it's up to me (her owner) to do it for her. Something about a lack of opposable thumbs. I didn't entirely understand when she explained it to me since she can't actually talk. She did, however, lick my toes -- if that doesn't mean "Be my ghost writer to record all my adventures on dogster.com", then I don't know my dog very well!
She was abandoned in a park so I don't really know her background and (see above), she's not telling. Still, the vet's best guess is that she's a pit bull mix. Other people sometimes think she's pure American Pit Bull Terrier. Still others think American Bulldog or Staffordshire Terrier. I've looked at a lot of books and web pages and I thnk she looks mostly like an APBT. I thought maybe she had some dalmation in her because of all the black spots on her skin--but apparently this is pretty typical with pit bulls.
She has tons of energy and I've heard on a National Geographic TV Show that pit bulls can pull up to 50 times their own weight, but I've never had her pull my car. Maybe if I ever get a flat when I'm driving her to a park, I'll take that opportunity to find out. She's very smart so if she ever doesn't figure something out, it's probably because I've been inconsistent with her training. Still, we go to the Maryland SPCA's "Best Friends Dog Obedience" classes most every Saturday, and she seems to love that.
She's very good at "Sit", "Stay", "Return", and "Heel". Not so good at "Lie Down", or "Stand", or "Fetch". She may be learning to go to the bathroom on command, or it might just be coincidental.
Anyway, she's a good dog. And I'm her owner, Paul. And these are going to be her adventures.
