For some reason, I always get in a "writing" kind of mood and write an entry here on Dogster for my birthday. I guess it's kind of a tradition now.

It's hard to believe I've reached 10 years old today! How exciting!

Even MORE exciting, is that as I type this the lawn guys are here to mow our lawn! I get to bark and carry on like a fool! Oh, the joys of being a dog!

In fact, I have to go. They are getting out the leaf blower!

Until next year...

Woof woof woof! Today I turn 9 years old! Mom had to go back to work today after being home all summer (she's a teacher), but I got a bone as soon as she got home. What a treat!

It's hard to believe it has been two years since I've written in my diary, but I have been very busy chasing squirrels, catching bunnies, and going to walks. Oh, and I got my teeth cleaned last month, so now I have pearly whites again! All the better to bite you with, my bunny!

My brother, Darwin, and my sister, Tyler, have been doing just fine. I am proud to say that I am the oldest, although I am probably the bounciest, too! I don't feel like I'm 9... maybe 5? (The independence of being potty trained with the youthful glee of a youngin'!)

Until my next birthday, I'm signing off!

Today is my 7th birthday! Time for another update on dogster...

Well, for my birthday I got to run around the house a TON this morning and play with a neat stuffed koala bear. I don't know where he came from, but he's soft and fun to bite. I am hoping that I will get a special surprise for dinner tonight, too. Maybe some watermelon or some vanilla yogurt? I LOVE yogurt, almost as much as I like steak. Perhaps they should invent steak flavored yogurt. Now THAT would be tasty!

Anyway, my sister Tyler is asking to go outside, so I think I'll end this entry and go join her. Darwin, my brother, is sleeping in the window... booorrriing!

Until next time...

It's my Birthday!

Today is my birthday, so what a great opportunity to write my first diary entry on Dogster. I'm now five years old. When people ask me how old I am, I just hold up my paw. I'm not sure if they get it, but I try! Not everyone knows ADL (American Dog Language) but my mom and dad try their hardest!

For my birthday I got to eat boiled hamburger and rice. That's my favorite meal. My brother and sister got to eat some, too. We had a real party! I spun around in circles for a full half-an-hour while Mom was cooking the meal. I was almost too dizzy to eat by the time it was ready, but I managed. Boy, was it good! And then I got a special bone after dinner that I'm still chewing on. Mom said it was banana-flavored. I've never tried banana before but it's pretty good. After I finish writing this entry I think I'll go back and gnaw a bit more on it.

So, my life as a dog is pretty good. I am lucky because I have a brother (Darwin) AND a sister (Tyler) to play with. Darwin and I like to wrestle. He is much bigger than me, but I usually win because I am smarter and he is just too clumsy. He thinks it's funny to bite my tail, but then I show him who is the REAL boss in this household: Tyler! (You thought I was referring to myself, didn't you? No way! I'm a wuss!) When Darwin bites my tail I get Tyler and she barks at him and makes him go away.

Our house is really neat because we have a "bow" window that I get to sit on. It's so cool! I get to feel like I'm outside because I can see all around me, but with the comfort of being inside on a cozy dog bed. Every time a car drives by I bark so that it knows to stay away. Someone's gotta protect the house, right? Mom and Dad don't often appreciate my diligence.

Well, I guess that's it for now. Maybe I'll write again next year on my birthday to give everyone an update on how I'm doing! Until next time...
