Buster was saved from an overcrowded shelter when he was just a few months old. He's been with us ever since.

Just Looking for Somebody to Love I wear this sad expression because the first love of my life dumped me. I'm looking for a new "special someone" to accompany me during long walks in the woods and on rainy days- we can snuggle on the couch with a snack and watch movies. I can't have children of my own, but it's A-OK with me if you have some- I LOVE kids (especially when they drop food on the floor!) and I'm generally very gentle with them, in spite of my size. I've never been to a dogpark, but hope to visit one someday- I love hanging out with other dogs! My friends say I'm good-looking, and I do have to admit- I have a nice short, glossy head of hair! Just say "yes" to a first date, and give me a chance to work my charm on you! (Buster has been neutered, started on vaccinations (Rabies and distemper) and HW preventative, is microchipped and dewormed. He is perfectly crate trained- so he's well on his way to being house-trained. Treeing Walker Coonhounds have very short, glossy, clean hair, and males will approach 70lbs when full grown. As of Jan '06, he's about 65lbs at 10.5 months. His mellow personality is an added plus. He adores other dogs, and would be a good companion for another one. This gorgeous guy is ready for a new home now!

My first encounters with SNOW.

Since I was born in south central Indiana in the spring of 2005, this is the coldest weather I've ever been in. Mom's been letting me stay out in the cold for longer periods of time- I keep trying to tell her I don't mind the cold! But this WHITE stuff, I wasn't so sure about. One night when we went out for our evening playtime, the wind was blowing, and this wet, sticky, cold white stuff was blowing all over- getting in my eyes and stuff. Brrrr....I was all wet after just a few minutes and wanted to come back in! Before bedtime, mom made me go out in it AGAIN, and yucko- the same thing happened. "What's the matter Buster, don't you like the snow??" mom said. So that's what they call IT.

The next morning, I found out it wasn't so bad when it's not blowing all over, and there's some of it on the ground to play in. All the toys in the yard were buried under it, so Ripley and I get to have some fun- like a treasure hunt- digging them all out.

And one more thing I know- snow is fun to EAT.

Why is Mommie making me stay in more??

Mommie used to let me stay out and play for hours on end, but I've noticed that since it started getting cool out, and especially on cold days, she doesn't leave me out as long. I just don't GET it. She knows how much I like to play outside! She keeps going on about it being too cold for me, but when I start to feel a chill, I just run around awhile and I warm right back up. There's always someone else to play with anyway!

She told me last night, she hopes I find a home where I can be outdoors alot, but where they will let me sleep on the couch when I don't need my crate anymore.
