Mom and Sam took me and Shimmer to Mr. Mutt today to get a bath! We were having so much fun barking at the neighbor until she made us come in to go to the dogwash.Sam and the nice man who works there gave me my bath. It was really not so bad, until they started blowing all of that air on me! I hate that! Mom bathed Shimmer because" He is so skittish" whatever that means! I was laughing because he started trying to climb out of the tub when he got the air blowed on him!

We met a Husky there who is a rescue dog like Shimmer. He was with his foster mom and dad. Poor guy, they got him from a shelter in Arlington, Texas and he had something bad called heartworms. So he has to take really yucky medicine and can't go outside and and run. He also had a lot of fleas and they were working hard to get rid of all of them when they were bathing him. He is a really pretty dog - he has two blue eyes like Shimmer. I hope he finds his forever home soon. He has a really cute little foster brother that is a border terrier. He came with him to lend moral support.

Ace didn't get to go with us, because he has "too much coat." He is such a bragger. He has to go back and be left there with the groomer next week. He has an appointment. That's what he gets for having too much coat, Mr Prissy Butt!! Glad I don't have too much coat. I would not be very happy if mom left me there by myself with the groomer and strange dogs.

Gotta go, the neighbor needs to be barked at!

My Woeful Life

I know I run and run and run, but that is what I do because I am a border collie. I love to run. I like to race the cars when they drive by our house down the alley. I always beat them. I can usually run back to the start and race them again and still win! I am "Taking a break" from agility right now. When mom and my brothers went to agility on Tuesday, I was so sad. Dad always gives me extra hugs when they leave me at home. My new brother Shimmer is pretty fun. When he chases me he doesn't grab my tail like Ace does. The only thing is that he likes to stay in the house unless mom, dad or Sam comes out too. What's up with that? If they go in the house, Shimmer sits by the door and begs to go inside. I am going to teach him to be a border collie too.
