Arrival Story:
Ellie was my Christmas present last year from my now fiance. We had talked and talked about getting a puppy together before Christmas, but decided that we should wait. Well when I opened my stocking on Christmas Eve there was a little picture frame with a picture of a litter of weims and the words "Place a picture of our puppy here." My now fiance told me that the rescue near us had a litter of puppies to find homes for and when we got back to TN we could go pick one out. So I had to wait 2 whole weeks (meanwhile telling everyone I knew) before we went to the vet's office in Birmingham where they were being kept. They had 3 girls and a boy left. We took our time with each of them (I almost convinced Tim to get two) and finally decided on Ellie. She was the cutest. Since we got her before we were engaged all our friends referred to Ellie as our 'engagement dog'. --- If you live in TN, AL, GA or MS and want to adopt a weim go to www.weimrescue.com

Ellie has distinctive 'dobe' markings on her face, chest and front legs.

Who is Santa?

I am convinced exciting things only happen on the weekends. On Saturday my mommy and daddy took me to Petsmart just expecting to get me some new toys. We get there and guess who was there? Santa Claus. Now I don't understand the whole idea of this man, but boy was I excited. I waited in line patiently (well I did try to steal the toy from the man in front of me for fun). We get to the front and this crazy lady tries to put some sort of hat on me. I am having no part of that. So mommy and I walk up to Santa and I determine that he is much scarier than I first thought. I did not want to sit next to this man. Unfortunately the crazy lady picked me right up and placed me next to him. I coerced mommy to sit with me and managed to sit almost still for a couple pictures. I told Santa good luck with the rest of the dogs and that I wanted an unlimited supply of treats for Christmas. I sure hope he heard me.

Hi everyone! I just needed to tell someone what happened to me this weekend. Well all last week I knew something was going on because my daddy was very busy and the house was in disarray (this is very unlike him). So on Friday night I was hanging out in the back yard like usual and when I went back inside everything was gone. I mean everything. I was upset for a minute, but then realized this left me with much more room to run in the house. It seemed like a great idea to me. I was not as happy on Saturday when I got left in the house in my crate with everything gone. Then I got a little anxious. Where did everything go? Was I allowed to go to or did I have to stay here? This sort of thing can make a doggy very nervous. Well later on my daddy and mommy came back and got me. I had to ride in the backseat with a lot of other stuff - it was very uncomfortable. Well we rode in the car for awhile and then stopped at this new place. I got out and the first thing I saw was this Beagle and he started howling at me. Give me a break I don't know what is going on - why was he howling at me? So we go upstairs and there is the stuff. Now I am very confused. How did everything get here? This wasn't our house. Now everytime I have to go potty (and it's been a lot because I'm nervous) somebody has to go with me. Where is my yard and my friends? Hopefully I will figure out soon what is going on because I have a stomach ache.
