I am humbled and thankful for the outpouring of kindness and love from my pals and their humans to my family and myself since I crossed to the Bridge. But then today, I find the kindness and generosity has expanded by my receiving THE MOST BEAUTIFUL set of wings from my loving and caring pal Inky Dinky Doodle and family. I am so humbled I cannot even bark. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I was a pretty grrrrl on Earth; now I am beautiful forever.

Inky, I love you!

Angel love,

I've gone to the Rainbow Bridge.......

6/3/2007...Today I crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. It was quite peaceful and such a relief (and release) from my body and those awful seizures. I can chase birds and bark all I want, now. My Mom and Grandma took me to let me be released after Mom found me in my doghouse unresponsive. Grampa and a family friend came to see if they could help, but alas...I was ready to go. Mom gave me sips of water on the way and I did lift my head up some but I couldn't answer to my name or get up. See, I'd had several more bad seizures lately, then been acting strange. When I didn't come running for my morning cheese (and meds slyly hidden in the cheese) Mom knew something was wrong.

Dad will be very sad to learn I've gone. He's out of the country again, and I've been his girl from the very beginning. I loved the men in my family very much as I liked being a Daddy's girl! And a Grandpa's girl....I'm still their girl, just an angel now. Don't worry more siezures for me!

To all who knew me, loved me, and will miss me: BARKBARKBARKBARKBARK!

My short-lived friend...

I tried to tell everyone in the neighborhood I found a new friend today. It went something like this:

"SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE! SNAKE!" I even left the fledgling birds alone to play with my new-found friend. I was thinking we were having great fun, wiggling and being tossed in the air but apparently only one of us was enjoying the experience. I thought my friend just needed a the sun...

Mom didn't appreciate my new pal.

Buddy Lee did.

We both lost out. If my new friend hadn't started to smell, I'd still be playing with it. Maybe tomorrow....

My newfound skill!

My yard is 14,000 square feet in area. (My humans did the math for me.) I have lots and lots and lots of space. I have lots and lots and lots of trees and bushes and shrubs and grass in which to play, chase cats/rabbits/birds/squirrels. You'd think I'd also have a"potty spot" and in fact, I do. But it's not where you'd expect it to be. I have perfected the ability to poop on the very first 1 foot square stepping stone right outside the back door to my humans house! That is a skill! I wonder why they don't appreciate what I had to do to make a direct hit on that thing??!!

I bet if Buddy Lee had done it, they'd bronze it....

Seizures are the worst......

My Mom wouldn't usually be up at this hour but I just had another seizure and that woke her and Buddy Lee up. I wish I knew why I have these awful things. I could hear Mom telling me everything was ok, but I kept running into things like the front door and chairs and stuff. It's just awful. I'm just wandering around the house now, looking for my Dad. He's been out of town for a while and I miss him. He's good for a girl when she's feeling down. Mom says he will be home soon. I hope so.

I did get an invitation tonight to join the Glamour Girl group and that helped me feel a little better. I'm not the snobby type at all but for once I got invited to something and not Buddy Lee. (He's a Momma's boy, you know.)

Well I better sneak back into the living room and lick my feet some more before Mom finishes up on the computer...she doesn't like that I lick a lot. Wonder why I do that, too?

So many questions.....

..and if I'm lucky, he will get distracted and run off barking at something and his new bully stick will be MINE ALL MINE!!!!! BARKBARKBARKBARK! Oh sure, Mom buys me my own but I gobble it all up in no time at all. Then I have to wait for Mr. Grumpy Pants to leave his alone so I can sneak over and steal it. That is, IF Mom isn't watching, too....

Woo hoo, I'm so happy! First Dad came home finally after being gone sooo long and we got all happy and wiggly together! Now I find out I'm getting a new baby sister! I'm so excited! Barkbarkbarkbark...I just can't hold it in!
I can show her how to chase birds and squirrels and that dang neighbor cat! She will probably get new toys, too, and I can tear them up! Woo hoo! Life is good for me! Barkbarkbarkbark!

Barkbarkbarkbarkbark...oh, sorry, this has to be in- English??

So I was barking at nothing the other day.......well, maybe it was something, who really knows?? I mean, if ya gotta bark, ya gotta let it out! Well, my Mom doesn't think dog I guess because she's always hollering at me to "knock it off". My HE'S a dogs best friend cause he'll always tell my Mom: "She's a dog, they're supposed to bark." Mom just doesn't get it! (I'm not jealous or anything, but she lets that little brother of mine bark a lot before she tells HIM to be quiet. Oh, he is such a Momma's boy.)

Oh, wait just a sec....barkbarkbarkbarkbarkbarkbark. Thought I heard that pesky neighbor cat.

Anyhoo, I have seizures. That vet-guy told my Mom I need more medicine and that I have to lose some weight. Oh, a girl doesn't want to hear THAT! My medicine makes me all sleepy and stuff. I have to be on a diet, too, because not only am I beginning to look like a sausage with legs, but I tend to eat stuff I'm not supposed to and then I get really sick.

I used to get really jealous of Buddy Lee getting all kinds of treats, but he has belly issues too so now we both get dry ol' kibble and a couple of dry ol' biscuits. Our days of cheese, peanut butter, and meat (ooooooh, meeeeeeeeeeeeeat) are over. That little guy still wants to eat out of MY bowl! And he is grumpy to me when he does! Everyone tells me how patient and sweet I am. Guess that's why he's still around, huh??
