 Birthday: July 23rd 2003
Likes: LIFE!! And sharing his joy with others; humans and dogs alike.

Pet-Peeves: Getting up in the morning! He is not a morning pup (like his mom!).

Favorite Toy: Rawhide bones and the Whippet puppy

Favorite Food: He loves Greenies! He ate his in record time and then kept trying to coyly sneak off with Booker's.

Favorite Walk: The dog park! He could play for hours if his Mom would let him!

Best Tricks: Being a sweetheart! :)

Arrival Story: I saw him on the Collie Rescue site and just knew he was supposed to be my next dog. I am so excited about my rescue boy and am happy to have given him a forever home. I've had him for 9 months now and he fits in perfectly. In fact, his heart is so big that we have decided to get into the realm of therapy work! He loves all people, but especially the little ones! Playing with kids never fails to put a big Collie smile on his face.

Bio: Jamie was rescued in April of 2005 from a horrible fate. His owner had him out on a tie line and he was rarely checked on. The line got tangled around his left rear leg and cut off circulation. In an attempt to save himself, Jamie chewed off his own leg to get free. In the course of events, he also had severe damage to two of his front toes and they had to be amputated as well. The vet who rescued him initially kept Jamie at his own house because the former owner kept trying to get him back!! Luckily, he ended up with the Collie Rescue heroes and had his leg and toes amputated properly and was taken into foster care to heal. Jamie's story is heartbreaking, but he has managed to retain his sweet personality and trust through it all. He is a testament to the true spirit and courage of our canine companions!
