Peanut's an Angel now.

Hi to all of our dogster pals...this is Beans. I wanted to let everyone know that Peanut went over the Rainbow Bridge on Good Friday. Momma had to lay him down. He has been really sick from kidney failure and diabetes. Everything hit him all at once. She took him to the vet 4 weeks ago when he started to have trouble and then he and Starr got into a fight so she took him again 2 weeks later. He had lost 2 pounds. When we got his ashes back Saturday, they had weighed him at the vet's office and he had lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks!! Momma was so sad all the time coz she had to keep him in the kitchen away from all of us coz he was having so many accidents. He was so sad, and we were sad too. Momma is still sad. She cries every night when we're in the bed. She doesn't know we can hear her. It makes me and Starr sad too. It's not the same without our big brother around. But we all know he's in a better place and he feels a lot better now.

Momma wanted to let everyone know that she has taken comfort in all the messages and kind words that everyone has sent us. We are so blessed to have such wonderful dogster friends. Thank you, everyone, for helping us get through this.

We love you, Peanut, forever and always!

MOVING DAY!!!

Something crazy is going on around here! There's papers and tissue and boxes piled up all over. I suspect we're moving, coz all this stuff keeps disappearing. Even the basket mom keeps all our collar scrunchies and tshirts in is gone. She said we'll have a new yard to sniff around in soon, like in a couple of weeks. It'll be closer to mom's work, and to our Peep's school.

I think I'm gonna like this new place. I hear it's close to a nice park and that our furbuddies Hoover and Bella live a couple blocks away, on the way to the park. We can all go on walks together now. That'll be fun. I worry about Abbey though. She's getting up there in years, and her Arthur-itis acts up, whoever he is. I just know she has a hard time getting up and down stairs and she doesn't like to walk across the kitchen floor. Better let mom know to put a rug down for her, so she won't be scared.

Oh and guess what? We're only a mile from the zoo!! Hope those lions don't growl too much and keep me awake at night. If they do, I'll go down there and tell them what for, coz we all know us doxies are 2 tons of dog in a 20 pound body! BOL!!!

Christmas is PAWSOME!!!!!!

I got the coolest stuff for Christmas from my Secret Santas....Reba, and Nola and Matilda!! New balls, a bag of marshmallows, more toys than a dog needs. Maybe that's why Beans keeps thieving all my stuff. Mom was cool about my marshmallows though. They were CHRISTMAS marshmallows, little green and red trees. She said NO SHARING, they're ALL MINE!! Thank you thank you thank you, Santa Pups....all your toys are so much fun!! Mom will be posting pics later today....you'll see what I mean about that stingy Beans. BOL!!

Just call me Peanut the Chicken-Toed!

Well, pups. I have experienced the worst thing ever. I went in for my annual (big fancy word alert!) "comprehensive" exam. Everything went fine. I love Jason and Scott. They are the coolest guys, and Jeanne, my doc, is super cool too. So anywho, a couple of days later, Mom noticed I was licking and biting at my back paw. She looks and FREAKED OUT! It looked like I had ripped off my pinkie toe pad! It was all raw and stuff. So she takes me back and Jeanne said, no, it wasn't the pad...it was a GROWTH on the pad! It was pushing my big pad over and spreading my poor little toes apart. So on October 11th, I had to go in and get the whole mess amputated! They took the toe, the pad and the mass and the dewclaw coz the mass was growing up and attaching to that area too. So I got to go back tomorrow to have the stitches taken out. I hope that Jeanne says I'm ok. She and Scott send all my stuff out to (another big fancy word alert!) "pathology" and they were gonna send a report back to see whether it's some type of cancer. I already had another growth removed from my side a couple of years ago, so they were really concerned. Jeanne said, "Better a toe now than the foot or leg later!". I think she's right. So did Mom! But even though Mom has been extra worried...she stills makes fun of me and calls me her little 3-toed sloth! Gosh, acting like I'm all fat and lazy...welllllll, maybe I am just a little! BOL! Wish me luck tomorrow, Everypup!! I'll bark at ya later!

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...........

GROSS!!!! I'd rather have roasted marshmallows! We moved over the summer, and the house we live in now has a real fireplace! With real pie irons and mallow sticks! I am in MALLOW HEAVEN!! Only problem is, now they got stinky ole socks blocking my way. What's up with that? Mom keeps singing about some guy named Rudolph, the Peep keeps wishing for snow (UNcool- my 'stuff' gets frozen in that mess!)......must mean it's the time of year for the fat guy in the red suit to bring me some new tennis balls....oops! Did I say fat?? I meant to say "PORTLY"......rhaaaahahhahaaaa!

Dang it, Chloe!! He's MY buddy!!!

Well, that dang Chloe has already brainwashed my new buddy, Beans! He's peeling the hide off of all my tennis balls. FINE!!! See if I care..... I'll just steal her rawhides when she's outside. It don't matter anyway....he sleeps with ME and MOMMY....ha ha haaa ha ha! And he doesn't even ask for the remote. Guess he hasn't figured out yet how cool Animal Rescue 911 is. Man, that one sure keeps me on the edge of my pillow!!

On the Road Again!

How cool is THIS???? My mom was checking out other doxies here (understandable...after all, we ARE an awesome little breed!). She found us a Pup Pal by the handle of Beans. Seemed Bean's pets have to move and won't be allowed to take their owners with them. So Bean's pets said he could come live with us! I love riding in the car, lap-hopping back and forth between everybody. This will be SO COOL, going for a ride, and coming back with a little brother to snooze with. Of course, when we get home, I'll show him the ropes. Like the best tree in the backyard to 'water', what "under the sink" means (that's where they keep the yummy dog bones), where the marshmallows are hidden (they found out about me climbing on Baz to get them down from the shelf, dang it!). But first thing I'm gonna teach him.......don't touch my remote!! It's Animal Planet or else! Well, m-a-y-b-e I'll let him watch A Pup Called Scooby Doo on Boomerang, but only if he promises to hang out with ME and not that dang tennis ball-thievin' Chloe!

It's past my bedtime!

Mom's keeping me up tonight, laughing at a Seinfeld rerun. I sure wish she'd turn off the TV. Or at least hand over the remote so I can change the channel to Animal Planet!
