I'm it

Lucky me was just tagged by the adorable Louisiana belle, Coco , and the handsome Cosmo ! Here's what I have to do:

1. I love clothes, but hate wearing shoes. Sometimes mommy wonders if I can really be her baby (you should see just how many pairs of shoes she has.)

2. I have been mistaken for a stuffed teddy bear several times. You should see their faces when they see my blink. BOL
3. I am a volunteer therapy dog and have volunteered with children and the elderly. It's so much fun (and the extra treats I get are great, too!)

4. I am quite the little swimmer.

5. I love car rides.

6. I actually like getting my teeth brushed (for the most part that is.)

7. I clean my face like a kitty cat.

Why do I have to choose?

So my birthday is tomorrow and mommy asked me what flavor birthday cake I wanted her to order for me. She gave me 6 choices and told me I could choose my favorite flavor. Choose?!?!!?? Why do I have to choose? Why can't I just have all 6 flavors? After all, it is my birthday right?

She's going to surprise me with the flavor and I'm sure it's going to be super yummy!! I wish I could share it with all my pup pals.

Thanks to my fabulous groomer who helped me be temporarily blue (and of course my mommy who made my costume, hat and wig) I'm SMURFETTE for Halloween this year. My mommy thought she just might keep me blue for when we volunteer at the nursing home again, but I think they like me better in my own fur color. What do you think?

Therapy Dog - new volunteering begins tomorrow

I absolutely love to volunteer and really enjoy the time I've spent with the little kids who have cancer and other serious illnesses. I have never volunteered with big kids before, but tomorrow I start visiting the nursing home. It sounds like it will be tons of fun from what I hear.

Who can resist meeting new people who will pet you and shower you with attention? Mommy's so silly because she tells me that the people I visit are the ones who benefit from this. Are you kidding me?? I'm the lucky one who gets all the attention and treats! Besides, isn't that what doggies are for?? To make people smile. :D

Beach Bum

I had such a fantastic time at the beach that I wish I could have taken all of you with me!! The weather was absolutely perfect and the sounds and smells were such a treat. I loved running, digging and napping on the sand. One of my favorite spots was under the beach chair. I would dig and dig until it was a round shape just like my donut beds.

I wanted to test out my new life vest, but the waves were a bit more than last time so my mommy didn't let me go in too far. I did get to practice my stroke a bit so watch out Michael Phelps. :P I wish I could just live on the beach. *sigh* What a great trip!

future Miss America??

I'm heading out of town in the morning for my very first beauty pageant. I have practiced my talent, have my talent outfit packed and ready to wow those judges. My picture for photogenic is printed and packed as well. And let's not forget the most important part - my fashion wear outfit. The camera is charging right now so hopefully we'll have some pictures to post when we get back.

I hope you all have a fantastic Labor Day weekend. I'm especially thinking of all my New Orleans buddies on this, the 3rd anniversary of Katrina, and hope you're all making evacuation plans for Gustav. Stay safe everypup!

I am a super model!!!

It all started a couple of years ago when we were evacuated to Atlanta due to Katrina. My mommy took me shopping with her at one of my favorite shopping malls. The mall is very dog friendly so I get to walk around - no carrier or stroller necessary. That's when a fashion show producer "discovered" me!! She was producing a fashion show where they were going to have a fashionable doggy scene. From there I went to a fitting and then the fashion show at the Atlanta Apparel Mart (where all the designers come during show times to show their new designs to buyers)! It was amazing and I even got to see Nik from America's Next Top Model there. Big Boi from Outkast performed so it was definitely a fun night. I was so spoiled that night - I could defnitely get used to that!

After that, I got to model regionally for Target's photo studio. That was extra special because my baby yorkie cousin, Rosie, was in the pictures, too!!! The photographer thought we were so easy to work with and naturals at it! :D

My latest modeling was for David Tompkins photography in New Orleans. I'm sandwiched between 2 gorgeous poms and appeared in the Jazz Fest program book! Who knows what will be next!

I went shopping with my mommy (yay, lucky me) and she was holding me while were in line when the manager walked by. At first she walked by and didn't say anything, but then she did a double take and turned around. She asked my mommy if I was real. It turns out she thought I was "one of those teddy bears you make and dress up." HAHAHA She thought I was a Build-a-Bear!!!
