Favorite Food: She loves everything, even dill pickles!

Favorite Walk: Down a dirt road

Best Tricks: Playing dodge when you play like you're after her.

Arrival Story: Tootsie was 6 months old when we got her. We actually went to get a new little puppy, but when we got to the place, there she was in a small cage and the lady said she was just going to keep her. Well, needless to say it broke my heart to see her in that small cage and knowing that would be where she would be living just to be bred, most likely. So, my husband and I said, "We'd really love to have that one!", pointing to Tootsie and she hesitated for a few minutes and then said,"Well, okay."
She was very small when we got her, but within six months she started putting on a lot of weight and went through lots of blood test to finally find out she has Cushings. But, never one minute have we regretted choosing her. She is full of personality and a joy to us all the time! She is very happy and if you didn't know it, you would just think she was fat but not unhealthy because she is so energetic!! She really tickles the vet. We call her our little pot belly pig!

Bio: Today is August 29, 2006. Tootsie passed away this morning in my arms. We don't know what was wrong. She just quit breathing like she had done one time before about three weeks ago. We were to go to a neurologist with her this week because the vet thought she may have a brain tumor and we could possibly treat her. I feel so lost and alone. But, I am thankful for the time we had with her. She was so special and always so loving. A part of me died today with her............

Today I finished Tootsie's resting place and I feel a certain peace within. The headstone turned out beautiful. We buried her in our front yard by a Bradford Pear tree that she loved to sit by and wait on squirrels. I will spend many hours sitting there with her and just feeling the closeness that she has always brought me. Rest In Peace My Precious Tootsie.

I miss my friend. The one my heart and soul confided in.
The one I felt the safest with, the one who knew just what to do to make me laugh again. I miss you so much, Miss Tootsie, my baby girl.

Tootsie's final resting place is finished now. And as I said earlier I now feel a calm about me in getting this done.
But most of all, I want to send a special thank you to my dearest and best friends here on dogster. I truely believe God brought them into my life because of what was going to happen to Tootsie.
MISTY and her Mom have been there for me with so many special words and shared in my tears by crying their own tears for Tootsie and I only wish I knew the words to tell them how much they have meant and will always mean to me.
But today, I realize there are no words to describe such special people and pets. These are truely the angels in my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I love you both so much...............always.
