Last week I was in Winners and noticed a remarkable number of hats made of animal fur or with fur trim. Quite a number of them were made in Canada and labelled as fox fur, but most were from China and labelled rabbit fur.

Now, I always try to avoid purchasing anything from China with animal products such as leather and fur because animals have no rights whatsoever in China and can be abused with impunity.

However, products made from pet fur are deliberately mislabelled and can be detected only by DNA testing or with a spectrometer. Read about it here and sign the petition to have these products banned in North America.
