Playing outside, digging for treasures, snuggling, going bye-bye, and protecting his family, house, and yard
Getting his nails trimmed, walking instead of running
Frisbees, Tire, Hard Indestructibe Jolly-balls, Tennis balls, Tug-toys, stuffed squeaky toys, squeaky balls, and don't forget FRISBEES!!
Peanut Butter and Milk-Bones
Anywhere he can run off-leash (mostly in the backyard), and to the park to practice learning to walk on a leash!!
Kobi can sit, down, roll-over (both ways), turn-around, shake, high 5, howl, back up, go around (when I throw the frisbee), imitate Ollie's "Hello Mama". Kobi learned most of his tricks just by watching and imitating Ollie. He is a very fast learner!!
Kobi was my pick-of-the-litter when I bred Ollie to a red female. He was the only "blue" in the litter. Since he was the only "blue" AND the only boy in the litter, I just had to have him! Kobi is a true "heeler" and will heel anything that moves, including me sometimes!
Kobi was born in Arizona, and we moved to Oklahoma when he was 2. Kobi is an incredible athlete! He's an awesome frisbee player and can catch it in the air almost every time!! Kobi can also roll his Jolly-ball with his nose and steer it with his front feet and make it go where ever he wants it to go (usually back to me so I will throw it for him). When I say "roll it" he knows to go roll his ball!! He also plays tire and tug-toy. Kobi knows all his toys by name and will bring me which ever one I ask for! He loves to chase squirrels in the backyard, although he barks at them too much to get too close to them. (That always made Ollie mad when he was trying to sneak up on them!). Kobi loves to play in his swimming pool in the summer, and in the winter, he loves to bulldoze the snow with his nose and slide on the ice! He can also push his tire across the ice (or hard slick snow) with his nose like a hockey puck! Kobi is a great digger too! He can smell where the squirrels have buried their nuts, and he will dig them up and eat them! Kobi is also a great snuggler and sleeps right next to me every night. He also does a great job at protecting the house and yard. Kobi will herd and heel anything that moves. I have had to teach him "No Kitty" since we have cats in the house now, but he doesn't really pay much attention to them anyway (he pretends they're not there most of the time!). I also have to watch him around my nieces and nephew because he will sneak around behind them and try to nip their heels, especially if they are running! He's quite a little heel nipper!! Kids and other dogs are his favorite heels to nip! At 8 yrs old, Kobi is just as energetic as he was when he was a puppy. I am currently working on leash training Kobi. He has always had a tendency to want to run and pull me whenever we've tried to go for a walk. Kobi graduated Basic Obedience in the spring 2006, so now he walks much better on a leash and knows all his commands! And I just discovered that Kobi loves to go on the slide at the park! He will run right up the steps, run down the slide, and back around to do it again! He just never ceases to amaze me!! Kobi lives with his Momma, his buddy Tyler, his little sister, Sis, and 3 cats: Grayson, Emily, and Rusty. Kobi really misses his Ollie, too.

We both miss our Ollie so much, and it is so exciting that that pic is going to have a chance to win in the Contest!!
Just had to share the Good News with you all!

Oh boy!! Oh boy!! Mommy has enrolled me in an Obedience Class! I'm so excited! My first class is just a few days away - Monday night! So I got to go for a walk today to the park to practice walking on my leash with my new training collar! What fun!! There is a basketball court there so we walked in circles around and around and around. When we would stop, I would have to sit.....which I already know to do, but I don't always remember to, so I get a little reminder when I forget. I already know my down and stay too, so we worked on that a bit. I think I'm gonna be the top dog of my class because I'm already so smart!!
When we took a little break from walking in circles, I got to go up and down the slide a few times!! I really love the slide - it's my favorite thing to do at the park! There were some people watching me and they thought it was really cool how I could climb up those steps and then run down the slide! They acted like it was something spectacular!! Silly people....what's so spectacular about a dog going up and down a slide anyway? I thought all dogs could do that.....huh?
So I can't wait until I get to go to class. I have a feeling it is going to involve getting to go for a ride in the car!! YIPPEE!! I love car rides - and I always sit shotgun. That's so I can see better - don't want to miss any cows along the side of the road, you know?
Well, I'll keep you posted on how my classes go. Gotta get a drink of water and take a little nap now while Mommy takes Tyler for a walk.

Thought it was about time to write a diary entry, so Mom agreed to help me with it today. I've been on Dogster for about 6 months now and I've made so many wonderful new friends and have read about so many amazing dogs here. What a great place to hang out! They even have Groups now and that is so much fun too! Mom even created a Frisbee Dog group just for me and all those other dogs out there that are as obsessed with frisbee as much as I am! What a great idea!! And we just got DogsterPlus/CatsterPlus so Mom got to put up some new pictures of us all and add captions to them! How cool!
So, we've been having a really mild winter so far and have been able to spend alot of time outside playing frisbee and herding balls around the yard. Those are my 2 favorite things in the world to do........well, other than snuggling with Mom that is. I've been trying to teach our new dog, Tyler, how to play frisbee. He's catching on pretty good. But for some strange reason, he won't play with the herding ball with me. I thought Mom said he was supposed to be an Australian Cattle Dog like me, so I don't understand why he doesn't herd things. Maybe it's that mix he's got in him.....who knows.
Well, it's been almost 6 months since my daddy dog, Ollie, died. I really do miss him, even if he did bully me around sometimes. The house was really quiet without him at first, that's why Mom and I took that road trip to go meet Tyler. She said that it would make us both feel better to have a new little buddy in the house to keep us company and to keep us from dwelling on Ollie being gone. She was right, it really helped me alot. Tyler is a pretty good boy most of the time and he even plays with me and we don't even fight.....oh, except when it's time to go night-night and he tries to weasle in between me and Mom and I have to set him straight on the rules of the bed.
Oh, and I get to start Obedience Classes later this month! I'm really excited about that! I do know how to behave already and I know most of the commands and stuff too, but Mom says that I need to learn to walk on a leash properly without pulling her so hard and she says that the socialization with other dogs and people will be good for me too. I'm just happy that I'll get to go for more rides in the car, take more walks to the park and around the neighborhood, and the big bonus - having all that one-on-one time with Mom!! Can't wait!!
Well, I'm burning daylight here and there are frisbees to catch and squirrels to keep out of the yard! Gotta run!
Wags and Kisses,
