Beckett was adopted from the Washignton DC Humane Society when he was 7 years old.
Bio:
Beckett has no front teeth and some eye problems. The family that dropped him off at the shelter (when they were moving - they had the moving van drop him off!) did not take care of him. He was kept outside, never taken to the vet and not fed on a regular basis. When his pug sister, Beatrice Pugzilla, and his Mommie and Daddy adopted him, he only weighed 17 lbs. (he has a larger pug body than most) and you could see his ribs. When he would go on walks he was scared of any loud noises and would eat anything he found on the sidewalk - including chewed chewing gum! He was lightening fast at grabbing and eating things on the ground. He would growl at his Daddy who would try and take the street food from him. Eventually, he learned that he has a new home with plenty of food, toys and treats - so he stopped his street food habit. Becks even started playing with dogs a the dog park. He finally felt at home with his new family. Beckett now lives in Tampa, FL. He loves sitting on the top step of his pool while his Daddy is swimming. He still is a little afraid of new friends, but has a best friend named Ferguson who comes over to play and chase lizards.

Yesterday was a great day!
I pugged around the house all day and took lots of naps. I tried to sun myself by the pool but it was just too hot for any puggies to be outside so I was just as excited to sleep on my sister's pug pillow (that really makes her mad - tee hee).
Mommie and Daddy decided to have a cookout. I love those! I stand guard by the grill just in case my Daddy needs any help at all. Just as usual my assistance was not needed but Daddy still treated me to some of that delicious steak that I was willing to help cook!
Last but certainly not least, I was named the TAM pug of the day in my Pugapalooza Pug Group!

My Mommie had to go out of town on business for a week and guess what?? Daddy let me and my sister sleep in bed with him! It has been wonderful. I let Beatrice Pugzilla find her place first cuz she is older than me and sometimes I can make her kinda mad if I push her around. Then I very carefully lay my head on her back and off to sleepland I go. Daddy even washed the sheets so we would not get busted. Unfortunately he "forgot" to put them back on so I think Mommie might know. I love my Daddy. Back to the pug pillow with Beatrice - sigh...

Ever since Thanksgiving I have had the urge to "sing" "woo woo" every chance I get! Mommie gets up in the AM - woo woo! Daddy walks into the room - woo woo! Really anything will trigger my wooing! My Mom and Dad think that I am so funny but they don't understand - I really love to "woo woo" !
