Bio:
Kylie is actually a Labradoodle...a relatively new breed bred originally in Australia...created as a guide dog initially but is growing in popularity due to the high intelligence and hypoallergenic hair from the Poodle (no shedding) and the friendly demeanor of the Labrador. Kylie flew half way around the globe from Melbourne, Australia to join us on Cape Cod...and we are glad she did!

My humans have been so busy getting the gardens winterized, they keep forgetting to turn on the computer for me. But they did have time to take me to the Halloween party at daycare last Sunday!

As you can see, they dressed me up as a doll...of all things! I had to wear that stupid red wig so everyone would know I was suppose to be Raggedy Ann...as if they wouldn't know. In any case, I had a great time...all my friends were there dressed as Superman, witches, baseball players, angels, devils and even a hula dancer. A great time was had by all...even the humans who kept pointing cameras at all of us...like we were suppose to pose or something.

We all received treats and I even won a prize (a day at the spa) for being voted "most pretty"...my humans were very pleased with themselves...I WON NOT THEM and I didn't see them wearing some stupid red wig!!!

I have to chase the squirrels now...they are running all over the backyard...ciao!

Today was my birthday...I'm 2 years old...and a Big Girl, not a puppy any more!

My birthday is actually October 2nd but I was born in Australia and it's already the 2nd over there. So my humans decided I should celebrate today as if I had never left my Mom and litter mates...and I was sure happy!

As you can see, I had a special cake...the humans said something about healthy since it had carrots on it. That made no difference to me...I ate it all because it sure was yummy!!!

I also was given two new toys with my cake. ..and just in time. I ate all my old keys last week and my favorite toy, Albino, kind of got ruined last night...I bit a little too hard and he got a hole in him. But it sure was fun pulling all his stuffing out...looked like snow was already falling!

Now I have new keys and a new best friend, Albino Jr...life certainly is great as a Big Girl!

Well, I have to go eat the rest of my cake before the humans get to it...after all, it is MY birthday, not theirs!

Woof!

Today my Daddy decided to give me something new to eat...something called corn-on-the-cob.

I usually only get dinner leftovers in my bowl...and that's only if there are any leftovers (my humans are unfortunately really good plate cleaners). But tonight there were a lot of these "ears" leftover and Daddy decided he would see if I would like one...I love piggy ears...so I was sure I would love an ear of corn!

Well, wasn't I surprised when this long thing was put in front of me...it wasn't in my bowl and it wasn't something I could put in my mouth and go chew on...what was this "ear"? There was this thing that smelled SO GOOD but Dad was holding it and told me to eat it! Are you kidding me...how???

I started to lick it and it smelled great, so I tried to chew it a little. I soon found out that if I dug my teeth into it a little at a time, I was getting these wonderful tasting tidbits in my mouth. I also learned that if I went side to side, a little bit at a time, I was able to "clean" all these tidbits off the "ear".

These crazy humans started laughing at me and said they needed to take pictures of me because no one would believe I learned how to eat this new delicacy. Now my pictures (all 8 of them not just the one posted here) were sent to all their friends...I was so embarassed!

But the laugh is on all of them...now I get to eat corn-on-the-cob all the time...my Dad buys it especially for me! But he said the season is ending...what does that mean...and I won't get too much more until next year.

That stinks...I get new food and now they take it away...what's up with that?!?
