my summer home

Momma and Scotty bought me and Ike a summer place where we can patrol for coyote intruders, chase cows and goats, and generally keep watch for bad stuff. I'm SO EXCITED that we get to leave stinky old hot old Texas and go there for our summer vacation. Momma even said that we might move there forever some day and have goats and chickens for ourselves. Wow would that be a dream life! Imagine me and Ike getting to guard the hen house, heh, heh, and keeping an eye on those goofy pygmy goats . We're even great in the car momma bought us.We stay in the back, watch the road for momma, and sleep quietly until we are there.What more could she ask for? Huh? We're the best dogs ever! Right Momma?? Love you momma and Scotty! Love, Walter oh yeah, love you too Ike and Nellie ( Momma made me say that).

There are reasons why I am the only pet allowed in bed.I am the civilized one, the sweetest smelling one, and the smartest. I even helped Scott ( my other mommy) catch 6 or 7 squirrels, I kind of i forgot how many. Man were they mad! Ha, we got them in that little trap and they were flying around pooping out of fear.He, he , he.All Scott has to say is"squirrel" and I'm on the job.Yes, I'm most dependable. Ike is always stiffing up someone's behind while I politely wait for my turn. Yep, I the best one.

Todays Reasons Why I am the best Dog Ever

1. I make myself small in the bed so momma's feet can fit around me.
2. I wait patiently at the backdoor even when Ike barges through after opening the door with his paws. He's such a rude boy!
3. I wait politely until I am offered food ( of course I DO give a subtle stare ..nothing too dramatic ! ).
4. I don't run off at the Turkey Creek trail.I always stay close to my momma and Scott ( my other momma except he's a guy).
5. I eat what I am served with gusto ( as long as it is chicken, steak or Turkey).!
6. I prefer the natural look to the groomed look, thus saving my mommas money at the groomer ( oh , well there was the incident involving a bath and the necessity for sedatives, but we won't mention that).
7. I am a Texas Dog! WHoo Hoo!!!! Boy Howdy!!!
