Arrival Story: Reese was never really my dog, but he was almost my dog and I'm still very sad about losing him.
I saw a MinPin puppy at a Pet Store but knew I didn't want to buy a puppy mill puppy. I started researching the breed and decided that it would be the perfect breed for me. I wanted to adopt a rescue puppy so I contacted IMPS (Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, http://www.minpinrescue.org/). After looking for several months, I finally found Reese. I filled out all the paperwork, had someone interview me to make sure I'd be a good mommy, and then contacted the foster family telling them I wanted to adopt him. The next day I received a mail saying he had been killed by a vicious dog while walking on-leash at the park. I was absolutely heartbroken. I cried for days. I told the woman at the Rescue org that I wasn't ready to look for another dog because I was still crushed. Several months later I finally started looking for another dog and that's when I found Jake. You can read about him on his page.
