Eventful day

I had to go to the vet today to get my anal glands expressed. I get anxious in the car and at the vet, so mom was not looking forward to it. I whined, cried and barked in the car. She ignored that and praised me for a few seconds of quiet at a time. She also gave me treats at the stop lights. It was the vet tech that did the procedure and mom told her to muzzle me. I really didn't need it, I didn't try to fight , bite or get away. It was such a relief to have those glands empty. On the way home, I was much better in the car, and we stopped at the waterfront park for a short walk. Mom wanted me to know that sometimes good things happen when we get in the car. I did awesome on that walk and on our regular one as well.
