Arrival Story:
...It was a rainy day in the beginning of March. At long last, we had finally discovered a breeder with one remaining pup. He said he could only only hold him for an hour. Needless to say, one hour later, we arrived from Austin to a quiet suburb in San Antonio. There on the lawn of the described address was a man and the most precious little thing to walk on four legs! He was a fuzzy bundle of seven week old affection. It was love at first sight and from that day forward, we have been continually blessed with his sweet, smart, naughty, tender and lovely presence. He definitely "had us at hello"...

Hmmmmm... Perhaps the time has finally come. Mommy says that I am simply too big to carry in her arms any more. She has all but stopped the taxi rides up the stairs! It's quite distressing really. But I went to the vet yesterday for a check-up on my ears (they're doing very well, thank you) and when they weighed me mommy looked pretty pale. I think she's wondering what on earth she's got on her hands. But I don't understand what's so scarey about a 4 month old, 45 lb., hyper-active, naughty, back-talking, run-in-circles-, tail-chasing, happy-go-lucky Boxer! If you ask me, I'm darn close to perfect. I dunno, maybe she picked up on me giving an extra sniff to my lady friends. Oh well, I suppose adolescence is over- Here we go teenagedom!!!

Men Are From Mars

Today was a fantabulous day!!! Mommy took the tape off my ears and by gosh- I can HEAR!!! You see, I had my ears cropped when I was 10 weeks old. They were all healed up in a few days but mommy said the vet told her she had to keep these foamy things in my ears until they could stand up on their very own. Well that's all done and let me tell ya'll, it sure is nice to think that my friends aren't going to look at me funny and that they're parents aren't going to ask if I'm from Mars. I was getting so tired of explaining that I'm a puppy, silly! I can't be from Mars. Mommy say's that's where men come from, and I'm not going to be a man for a couple more months anyways!!

Schutzhund Training for the Big Leagues

Tomorrow mommy is going to call my trainer at Triple Crown Dog Academy in Hutto, Texas. She says I'm being naughty again and it's time to focus my energy into something more useful than dragging rolls of toilet paper through the house at breakneck speed! I can't wait to go back to Triple Crown though, cause I love my teacher (his name is Tyler and he makes me wiggle with glee) and I get a belly full of Bil-Jac treats as rewards. Last time I stayed there for two whole weeks and my mommy came to visit me almost everyday. I was getting trained as a Schutzhund pup and it is so exciting! I worked on tracking and all kinds of exercises to make me brave and focused and handsome all at the same time. Mommy said that I shouldn't be worried that there are mostly a bunch of big German Shepherds in Schutzhund, she says she believes in me and that I am just as good as any other puppy out there. I think I believe her.
